Either you live freedom or you hate it. Conservatives, Constitutionalists and Libertarians LOVE freedom.

Leftists HATE freedom. They want nothing more than more laws to punish people who disagree with them.

That's pretty much a contradiction in terms. It's like the term anarcho-communist, if the communist part refers to Marxism and not communal living.

I've heard of people who are libertarian and lean left but I never understood that. The American left is for tyranny and Libertarians are for freedom. So when I hear of people like yourself (I am not try to disparage you or be negative) it makes me wonder if you and others like you are playing with fire.

I'm a strict Constitutionalist. Probably something like a "Conservatarian". And perhaps your eyes you might think I'm also playing with fire being conservative. I believe that our founding fathers were inspired by God to give us the freest nation to have ever existed. The American left over this last century had taken most of our freedoms away. They have introduced Marxist ideas into the mainstream and killed public education. They have rewritten our history to make us out to be the most evil country in the world. And now outside influences have taken control of our government. Joe Biden is a puppet of the World Economic Forum, the IMF and the UN.

Well... I'm babbling again. Time to shut up.

Constitutionalist - A type of paleoconservative. . .or a Chad Conservative becoming a Gigachad Conservative.
[deleted]

It depends on what you mean by paleoconservative. Originally liberal meant minimum government and maximum individual liberty. Conservative originally meant maximum government and limited or no individual liberty.

Those terms got reversed in the early 20th century because of the Progressive movement. They somehow got control of the media and knew that Marxism was big government scheme. So to sell it they claimed to be liberals. However it wasn't until WWII when the Progressives started calling conservatives Nazi's and fascists even though the Progressives had been extolling the virtues of both Nazism and fascism prior to the war.

So when you say "paleoconservative" I don't know where you are coming from. I am not a classical conservative, I am a classical liberal however I am definitely not a early 20th to present day liberal. The Marxists have ruined the word liberal and that is why there are libertarians.

I have no clue what a "chad conservative" is. I never heard of that.

A Paleocon are traditional(Bible, common sense, minimum government) stuff like that. . .and a deep dark loathing for POS Neocons. And contrary to what liberals may claim, Paleoconservatives want controlled border and immigration, not shutting the whole thing down.
[deleted]

The only ones I have a "deep dark loathing" for are those who trample on our inalienable rights. Those rights come from God, not man. Even if you're an atheist then those rights are still not given to us by man, they are inherent in the individual.

I hear a lot of definitions being thrown around for "paloecon" and "neocon". That's why I asked you, more or less, for your definition.

I am assuming by neocon you mean most of the Republican party leadership. The ones who have learned how to sound conservative to their constituents while mostly siding with Democrats.

Yeah, I don't have much use for them. They are the reason why I left the Republican Party and joined the Constitution Party.

I do believe that the border should be controlled and not open. If we open the border we lose our country. I'm not talking about race or ethnicity. I'm taking about ideology. Most of the illegal immigrants are fleeing socialist oppression, however, socialism is all they know. They don't understand that the government is supposed to serve the people, not the other way around. My wife's uncle came here illegally from Mexico. He's legal now but not when he came here. He likes to talk politics with me, for some reason, and he talks like we are hear to serve the government. I keep trying to explain freedom to him but I don't think he fully gets it. He's not dumb, but it's just not what he was raised with.

If any percentage of illegal immigrants coming to this country think that way, then they will vote Democrat. If the Democrats have no opposition then we turn into a crappy Marxist state overnight. Enough illegals with that mindset could do that.

Yes, I know that only citizens can vote in our elections but Democrats never let things like laws get in their way. They have been caught busing illegals from precinct to precinct voting Democrat.

Sorry for the long post.

Not problem with length. Neocons tend to be real fast to draw the sword and swing it over trivial things. For example when Trump was president, Iran blew up one our spy drones. The Neocon, mainly Bolton, said it we should've went to war with Iran over it. Never mind no Americans died and the projected cost in US Soldiers lives wasn't worth it. Bolton lost his crap over Trump's refusal to go full war against Iran.

Does that make Biden a neocon? He can't keep his mouth shut talking about going to war with Russia. His aides are always having to back peddle Biden's remark.
0 ups, 3y,
1 reply
Yes it does. Neocon should be it's own thing outside of the known political ideologies like Conservative.
[deleted]
0 ups, 3y
Then to avoid confusion they should be called something else, like "idiots". Not all conservatives are neocons and if leftists also fit that definition then we need a different word. Maybe neoidiots or waridiots.

That's why I will never use the phrase "Crony Capitalism" because it associates it with Capitalism. Crony Capitalism is Corporatism or in the days of the founding fathers it was called Mercantilism.

Not that Capitalism itself is a great word to describe free market economics. The word was coined and defined by Karl Marx and he got free market economics wrong. But he needed to discredit it in order to promote his colossal turd.

I'm moderate but slightly left. I love personal freedom, but there needs to be limits.
3 ups, 3y,
1 reply
Well there are limits based on common sense. It's one thing to shoot and kill an intruder inside your home. It's another to walk up behind some random person on the street and put a bullet into the back of their head. The Founders expected people in the future to be able to tell the difference between good and evil and use common sense when the Constitution is brought into the mix.
0 ups, 3y
Yes. I agree with you. Sadly, it seems as if there is little common sense to be had.
[deleted]

And who sets those limits? I have lost all confidence in the government. I don't trust them with my freedom because they have taken so much of it. We are far less free then the early day colonists were when they rebelled against King George.

So who sets those limits and what kind of limits are you talking about? Are you talking about limits on free speech? Limits on religion? Limits on the right to petition the governments? Limits on the press? Limits on the right to assemble? Limits on the right to bear arms?

What limits are you talking about?
0 ups, 3y,
1 reply
Limits I believe, should be set by a combination of laws and general common sense.

Free speech should almost never be limited, but violent forms of free speech should be limited. Anyone should be free to practice any religion they want, provided they aren't actively harming people. Petitioning the government should never be limited. Limits on the press are pretty much useless as some people are stupid enough to believe anything, like that Trump won the election or that Antifa stages only peaceful protests. The right to assemble should only be limited if the assembly is violent. The right to bear arms should be limited to no automatic weapons, otherwise, buy a gun. I don't concern myself with what people do with their money.

Limits should be in place to keep people safe.
[deleted]
0 ups, 3y,

Outside of yelling, "Fire", in a crowded theater I don't think any speech should be limited.

Automatic weapons are very expensive, the permit to buy one is very costly and very hard to get. However, I don't think any government has the right to tell me what kind of firearm or weapon we cannot own. More firearms bring violent crime down, not up. It's true everywhere it's tried. In America guns are used 3.5 times more to prevent violence than to cause violence. And that's just with the stats we know. There are many cases where a gun was used to stop a crime and because no one got hurt they never reported it.

Criminals rarely buy guns at a gun store or gun show because of the background checks. They either steal guns or buy guns on the black market. That means by and large, every gun law the Dems have passed and want to pass do absolutely nothing to stop crime. They just make it so much easier for criminals to rob, rape and/or murder us.

If everyone owned a gun, took gun safety courses from the NRA, violent crime would almost drop off the radar completely. Despite what you see on TV no one wants to get shot. Criminals hate it when you're armed. So naturally violent crime would come to a virtual halt.

The only kind of speech, in my opinion, that should be limited, is people rioting and hurting others and others' property. I'm from Raleigh, and I saw the riots on TV. I liked their message, but the way they went about it should have been stopped.
[deleted]
0 ups, 3y
Rioting is not free speech. Rioting is destruction of property and harm to individuals. No form of rioting is protected nor is ever someone's right to cause harm to another or damage their property.

Protesting, without destruction and without violence, is our right to free speech, peaceably assemble and, in some cases, petitioning the government for redress. Not all protests petition the government. Some are just to make people aware of whatever the protest is about.

I thought the riot/protests of 2020 were based on a false premise. I understand what the protests were about but the facts are that cops are not targeting blacks. If anything cops, specifically white cops, are far more reluctant to arrest or detain a black person for fear that they may end up losing their job over it.

But that false narrative is out there and it all stems from a bigger false narrative that America is a racist country. That myth is perpetuated by the Democrat Party specifically to keep blacks voting Democrat. The Democrats include with that false narrative that all conservatives are racists or the newer false narrative that all white people are racists.

The truth is racism is and has been at an all time low in America for decades. Yes, it exists but only in a very small percentage. Racism is not exclusive to white people, it exists in all races and it is against all other races. I've witnessed it first hand.

The protest on Jan 6th, 2021 where about 300 of the protesters were triggered to riot by FBI operatives was based on the perception that Joe Biden was illegally placed in office by a fraudulent election. The protests I 100% agree with. The riots were part of a plan to try to turn that riot into an insurrection and then accuse Trump of fomenting that insurrection so that he could be impeached and hopefully found guilty by the senate to prevent Trump from ever running for office again.

The problem is an insurrection is an attempt at a violent overthrow of a government. They are always carried out by armed people and the goal is always a complete overthrow. Nothing like that happened. No one had guns and the entire riot was triggered by FBI operatives. If those operatives weren't there there would not have been a riot.

Oh I was right then- apparently it does take more than one liberal to make a somewhat coherent comment...

Anyway, I did. It said there was no collusion. Russians purchased about $200,000 worth of Facebook ads, mostly unrelated to the election.
LOL how about you go ask Ray Epps what happened. And before you do that go ask the antifa/BLM routers. The January 6th "riot" cost less than 3% of what the first two weeks alone of rioting cost. And that's using the upper estimate for January 6th and the lower estimate for BLM. If we use the most common estimate, it's about 0.05%.
Yes they did. I'm not supportive of that decision. Doesn't prove anything. And furthermore, the reason they rejected the Texas case is because of improper legal standing, not lack of evidence.
WoW hE sAiD hE GoT a HoLe iN OnE?!?! JUsT liKe HiTLeR!!!

Like I said before, is that some rip off of Transformers? Anyway, if you want to talk about being an autocrat, ask Joe Biden, you know, the one who set a modern record for executive orders in his first week. You might also want to talk to some of the leaders down in Australia. Or in China. Or in the UK.

Trump isn't an autocrat, no matter how hard you try to paint him as one.

On their face, each of these quotes looks like the same thing. But it's really not. What Trump is saying is that the media likes to spin and even at times make up stories in order to advance a narrative, which is, ironically, exactly what the Ministry of Truth does in Orwell's 1984.
