Im guessing this is mostly directed at that guy with the most boring memes this site has ever seen. that slakula guy
My god if you ever need to feel the energy drain out of you and get some sleep, just look at that guys memes -- Its like if the color beige and lethargy had a baby...and that baby worked in a library

Reveling in their own victimhood, libtards not only refuse to debate ideas they disagree with but actively seek to silence them.

Nah, not true... sometimes I just don't like dealing with trolls.
Trolls are expected. You will never not find a troll. If you are sensitive to them you can block them and never see their comments.

You need reading comprehension, lol. It's about protecting the thread from the spammer trolls. Not about me "being sensitive". Same as if someone starts using profanity. Since I cannot remove their comments, I can lock down the thread to protect it.
Not at all. But civil discussion isn't what trolls do. You probably conflate "immigrants" with "illegal immigrants" too. Disagreement isn't the issue. Mindless hijacking is and that's what I'm addressing.
There is clearly and indisputably good times to turn off comments.
fair enough, but we can't have a healthy internet without them :)
"You probably conflate "immigrants" with "illegal immigrants" too"
eyyy deflection. hope you have the best research to back that up

LOL... you deflect by crying "deflection". I made a valid comparison between two like examples. You might not confuse the two immigrant types, but then you need to apply the same logic here as well...

Besides... turning off comments when appropriate (and there are clearly times when it is as I've demonstrated), does not prevent you from voicing agreement or disagreement with the thumb process... so 'critique' is still an option.
48% of voters are now independents so why are we electing candidates that are chosen by the two parties that only have the most loyal extremists remaining in them?
Wow did you throw your back out making that leap in logic?
No I'm referring to the fact most states only allow register members of a party to vote for a party's candidates which means only a small fraction of people are deciding which candidates we get to choose from come election time, and since the people remaining in the two parties tend to be the more extreme minded members of their respective groups we get extremist candidates on both sides.
Something that could be easily fixed if people realized we can also vote for independents or third party candidates but are too stuck in the two party mindset to realize.
it's also how i got access to a picture of a dead baby that i can't post on this site because it's too sensitive for the mods. just know that the trump admin. was not far different from planned parenthood :)
