Here's a prime example. Libtroll makes multiple claims that BLM doesn't loot. S/he's then provided with eight examples that contradict that claim and replies to NONE of them!
Even when I've shown irrefutable proof about something and cited the link to a legitimate website (non-political non-news) I was told I was wrong and they weren't going to look into it.
I research on my own. You guys study sand
Because after all that you clowns just mock the source. I once showed proof of something that Biden once said using whitehouse.gov and the person that I was debating wouldn't accept it as a legitimate source.
How can you verify it if you dismiss everything they try to provide you as spam? You have already decided the case, but want to pretend you're a neutral arbiter.
Strange how there are no contradictions or mistakes in it, as well as predicting scientific principles thousands of years ahead of their discoveries like "the fountains of the deep", and disease prevention and sanitation.
None of those are contradictions in the original king James. Bad interpretations mangle the text.
There were twelve apostles and many followers who were also called apostles. No contradictions there. Just your failed understanding of language.
The last one shows how little you know of Roman culture and how things worked back then.
Yes, they are, and the KJV is a badly translated one.
This was already explained to you a year ago.
No, as usual, you haven't a clue.
But you know what, I'mma letcha explain to me why Barabbas is practically Jesus's twin except for not getting hung.
From there you can proceed to explain with verse from KJV why Jesus hasn't returned yet, despiteth his lasteth wordeth sayingeth he wouldeth returneth withineth whose lifetimes?
James.. King James is the gold standard and has six the test of time for its accuracy. Shows you don't know where the real controversy lies.
Only someone that's never read the Bible would think that Jesus had anything to do with Barabbas. Please do some research.
The"generation" has talking about is the generation that will see the rebuilding of the city of Jerusalem and the temple. Please try reading the Bible before responding. These have been addressed by hundreds of people before. Even secular scholars don't argue these points any more.
Once more, let's see if you can pay attention this time:
Same NAME,
Same crime,
Same arrest,
Same time,
Same place,
Same judge,
Same conviction,
Same sentence,
Same execution commuted - But only for one of them!
Not the save name. Jesus and Barrabas are completely different. They weren't arrested at the save time, they didn't have the same crime. You are really embarrassing yourself.
Barabbas's first name IS Jesus. Barabbas is bar Abba, which translates into "Son of the Father." Do you know which other Y'eshua/Joshua/Jesus was referred to as son of the Father?
Same name,
Same crime,
Same arrest,
Same time,
Same place,
Same judge,
Same conviction,
Same sentence,
Same execution commuted - OOPSIE! only for one of the fellas with the same name *wink*
Two different names that have a similar meaning. You know that Jesus was a common name at the time right?
What you've shown her just shows how truly ignorant you are.
I don't think people realize that there are so many differences between languages that a 1:1 translation almost never retains it's exact meaning with things that aren't strictly literal (and even then, there can still be issues).
The bible has been fully translated to hundreds of languages, and partially translated to thousands. I'm not a biblical expert but I'd be willing to bet many of those translations were daisy chained from other translations and some are much more mangled than others.
IIRC the reason that the KJV remains the English gold standard is that it was directly translated from Hebrew/Greek and was reviewed by a fairly large group of biblical scholars before being published.
I don't disagree, but as easy as it is to correctly translate a concept, it's equally easy to misinterpret/mistranslate something without noticing it. The biggest example that comes to mind is the ole coarse thread/camel debacle. I worked a lot in linguistics and when you've been going at it a while it's very easy for a linguist to accidentally alter the meaning (if only slightly) which is why rigorous review and revision is extremely important.
The Bible doesn't live at all, not in anyone's head, not in anyplace.
It's about people who have been dead for millenia. Even Yahweh at the latest was heard from by Mohammad 1400 years ago, if you choose to believe that. If the last to you was Jesus, then, he's been MIA for 2000 years. If before, even more.
Its not easy to misinterpret when thousands of scholars both Christian and atheist have poured over the bible for thousands of years.
The Hebrew scribes used a primitive form of checksums to ensure accuracy. If it passed that, they did a word by word review of the entire thing by multiple scribes. They were more careful than anyone today about it.
Is that suppose to piss me off? Lol. I give 2 shits about Ashley babbitt. I noticed she always in your posts. It's nice you keep her memory alive. That's nice of you.
