Most of those athletes grew up in middle-class to upper middle-class circumstances and so many of them have got the 'silver spoon' mentality in which denying them anything is equivalent to denying them everything. They are spoiled and self-centered whine-babies, in other words.

Cuban refugees and their immediate descendants on the other hand have experienced what it really means to have been denied everything meaningful in life. In other words they are educated in regards to practical matters and are therefore grateful for the United States of America.

Maybe they should go live in Hong Kong. They speak English, and they're going through forced socialism. Socialism that isn't found in Denmark (because it's not socialist) and it's the same socialism that Bernie Sanders wants.

Protesters in Cuba and Hong Kong seem to love the American Flag more than Republican Capitol insurrectionists who used it as a weapon to attack police with.

It was a DIY demonstration on how fast you can build gallows to hang sitting politicians.

It was the direct cause of over 500 people getting put on the FBI wanted list, and subsequently hauled off to Federal court to say "I was an idiot, I had no idea of what I was doing."

Cuba has been under heavy US sanctions for a long time, through red and blue administrations. The government of Cuba doesn't feel the pain, only the people. The whole flag waving thing was staged - in Cuba at least.
