A conservative posting an excerpt from a speech that pretty much says "all white people are racist." As I live and breathe.
If you read the whole speech, he was saying both sides are exactly the same, but liberals pretend they aren't. Anyone who speaks in generalities about an entire group is wrong - but at the time it was likely that that was true.
I personally hope that's changing. Any of the old school politicians who had to coexist with the Dixiecrats are fine. There are 58 black people in Congress and hopefully that representation makes it more than just white liberals leading.
Politicians on both sides will lie and say what they need to to get a vote, but I think social media and grass roots movements have allowed voters in both sides to come together abd not me lead as much from the top. A lot of us know what we want and are pushing politicians for it instead of taking a passive role.
That sentiment is, btw, why BLM riots when justice is denied. Because they have no faith that either side really has their back or that anyone will fix things unless they aren't given a choice.
