Get it? Cause it's a black guy in the picture. And they're 1950s Democrats.

Biden’s demeaning (racist) comments about African Americans proves the point that the face of the Democrat Party is black face.
5 ups, 3y
Yeah. In fact many to most Dems in that time were in the KKK.
2 ups, 3y
Yeah. You only qualify as a racist if you’re republican. As a democrat you can directly insult ethnic groups and have it overlooked because “Democrats are the party of the people.” These professional liars never were, never are, and never will be.

Even more of a stretch. You’re just saying trigger words that don’t form a coherent tight. Also, Alissa Milano?

For the Facial feature, not biographical outline of her political philosophy.

Also not sure why autocorrect made “thought” into “tight”. Perhaps you’re a victim of this as well. Also this predictive text feature on my phone is annoying. Bah!

The world may never know whether President Trump just got a little sloppy with his verb tenses on Wednesday morning or simply had no idea that the famous black abolitionist Frederick Douglass was, in fact, dead.

Just don't call it free speech then. Come up with some new category you can lump all political decent into.

The intro acids of 230 protections are not my forte but if they are promoting a viewpoint that makes them a publisher and they have no protections and can be sued for libel and slander. Also, being private doesn’t negate equal protections or rights. If you have a private club you can’t exclude black people from the club unless the club has specified requirements based on certain criteria. Like it’s a club for Eskimos so you have to be an Eskimo. If your club is public access and has no specific requirements then you are a public access forum. A disclaimer agreement or TOS doesn’t satisfy the requirement of private club protection.

Excluding a race is not speech. A company that is privately owned could make their own rules for employees. For instance you could mandate that no employees can curse. That is not against free speech because they are a private company. Now if the GOVERNMENT came out and said you could not say you liked Church for instance, now that would violate it. But nothing in the 1st amendment does not give a private company a right to determine their own rules as long as they are not in violation of morality I suppose. Like a company could not make you worship the devil and such. Maybe you should read it again. I think you may have missed the part where it says GOVERNMENT.
0 ups, 3y
You suppose that you are the purveyor of what’s moral? You who thinks WAP is perfectly acceptable but “baby it’s cold outside” is not? Public access is similar to a public park. If you are a private club you have to have more than just a TOS.

...what about the rights of the hearer to be protected from hate speech, lies, slander, fakes?

(Just FYI: You know as well as me what hate speech is. If you want to deflect, just do it - but keep in mind that these tactics weaken your positions, not mine.)

Ah, that "missing point" might explain why the states and the US have hate speech laws which are in full compliance with the First.
Other nations like India do even have laws which are punishing the dissemination of fake news with jail AND hefty fines without having to dance a juristical boogaloo...the USA is well advised to take a leaf out that book.

Methinks that too many people are misusing the right of free speech for hate speech in the knowledge that enforcing the laws is quite a task although it is actually as easy as baking cake from the technical POV. And if the own morale is not able to set the borders, the offenders need other incentives.

Can someone explain why this meme:

does not meet the posting requirements of the politics stream?
3 ups, 3y,

Because it has nothing to do with politics.

Its the same about this meme, freedom of expression in social networks, that's politics
1 up, 3y
The first amendment doesn’t protect you against social networks but the government trying to limit your speech. Therefor, your meme is not political but rather a complaint about having to follow a site’s rules. And it would be a conflict of interest of the site to allow you to encourage that.

When the truth is censored, about the excuse of site rules, that's politics

They say the meme does not fit politics stream, but i see meme related to critisice censorship on internet sites it something politics, I have another meme, with the same problem. Doesn't fit politic stream requirements. But can't fit any other stream better that politics.

I found this nonsense
1 up, 3y
That’s the problem with mods or censors which is what they are. They are human and have prejudices so it Depends on which one you get and their “sensibilities”
0 ups, 3y,

I didin't. I'm not questioning THIS site rules.
1 up, 3y,

Irrelevant. You are questioning any site that has rules and therefor you /could/ be question this site’s rules. Or falsely asserting that this site or other sites with such protections are limiting access to the truth.

Another not politics meme:

There is no better stream than politics for that meme. Because I relate the religion to the way they interfere with politics.

Might have to do with violence. It is ambiguous whatever you’re promoting it or discouraging it.
0 ups, 3y,

if were the case, the reason to not approve would be clearly, something about violence. But it is not match with stream.
0 ups, 3y
What is political about it?
0 ups, 3y,
2 replies
Relevant. I question any internet site which hypothetically use rules excuse to apply censorship.

Which is not unusual, not all internet sites.

One could think something is censored because is truth, because if it is false, it could be criticised.

Truth is dangerous, lies not.
2 ups, 3y
I shouldn’t have to explain self-interest to you. I have criticized IMGFlip policies and had them specially posted these concerns in politics but I did so constructively.

The problem with your presentation is it opens with a hostile position that you are right and that the owners are wrong.

Perhaps in political debates this is a useful tactic but the fact of the matter is, IMGFlip mods hold the cards. Rather than assuming some nefarious agenda because you don’t understand them, why not try to consider their position or their perspective first without jumping to the conclusion that their position is insidious?

You don’t think lies are dangerous? Have you’ve suddenly reversed your position that the MSM is the enemy of the people? Mmm.

Interesting.

One could also be mistaken what is true, and present it as true, and have to learn the hard way that it isn’t true. Such as the mods conspiring against you rather than simply protecting the site. Surely you don’t think anything should be posted to the internet?

There should be rules, yes? Or perhaps you’re an anarchist and you don’t think rules should exist or simply do not apply to you equally as they do everyone else?

When you have to explain the meme so that they let you post it, there begins to be censorship

This is unfortunately true. However, I don’t mind memes that open discussions but if you think an ongoing discussion about the meme’s relevance or political commentary is unnecessary all the time, that’s more on the creator than the audience. I’m happy to use a meme to open discussions. I do it all the time which I’m sure unnerves a lot of people who don’t understand civil discussions or different perspectives.
