The reverse is also true. It's important to count every vote....but only count them once? Weren't we all taught in elementary school to check out math? Don't rush to fill a SCOTUS position, but rush to install the POTUS-elect, without verifying the results. When one side loses they are concerned are election tampering and fraud, but when they win it's clearly the genuine untainted will of the people.

The real truth is that all this BS is political strategy being passed off as political ideology. Both sides do it and try to call out the other side out for it.

Facts are facts. And the fact is Georgia is having a recount and surprise, surprise.... Trump is now calling the recount itself a scam. If somehow he ends up flipping the original results in Georgia, I would bet $ the Georgia recount will suddenly become legit.

The recount isn't being audited, as per the deal.
The issue with Georgia (as was from day one) was the legitimacy of the ballots they're counting, not the quantity. and even if it ran into Trumps favor, it should still be rejected and audited.

Realistically every state should be audited and recounted by hand and in public if either side asks for it.
Biden winning isn't nearly as bad as the idea that someone can just walk in and change the votes on every future election and convince people that investigating it would somehow damage democracy..

I'm saying neither side has a lock on integrity and moral behavior. Sure Hillary conceded, and the Democrats spent four years trying to overturn the results. They just did it differently. The Democrats accuse the Republicans of rushing to fill Ginsburg's seat, and now they rush to end an election where once they insisted on counting every vote.

I heard on the radio yesterday that during the Georgia recount about 5000 previously unrecorded voted were, ahem, *discovered,* though it is not expected to make a difference in the result. Still, the election isn't over until every vote is counted -- isn't that what has been said? In a close election, a verification of then results just seems prudent. I think in the end it will prove that Biden has won. But why is the left so nervous?

But I tend to think what you're saying is a false equivalency.. Both sides have not insisted that a SCOTUS seat cannot be filled this close to an election. Both sides have not blathered on about widespread voter fraud... (Which is different than saying count every vote.) And let's be real... nobody has done it like trump.

And speaking of which, I'm pretty sure "spent 4 years trying to overturn the election results" was a nearly verbatim trump line used to discredit the impeachment.. which if you believe was true, you would have had to believe the Dems in the house actually thought Republicans in the senate would remove their own president.

You seem to be implying that you think the OP title is accurate..(?).. The only thing recounts will "prove" to repubs is that Biden's win wasn't legit and that their narrative was correct. They'll find some handful of errors (as they already have), and say see.. the Dems cheated. Widespread voter fraud because errors were found. I mean I could be wrong but I guess we'll see what happens after the votes/results are certified.
