Durr Fuhrer's Minister of JusTick Barr probably notified them they'd be sent for 'processing' in Gitmo if they don't 'readjust' the results.

Oh, Jesus, you're going to make me look into this, aren't you? The Lancet wasn't even the only research to find that chloroquinine causes heart arrhythmia but even money says that this particular paper isn't what they're saying it is - that the Lancet probably found something super innocuous to say about it or something and the Trump squad decided that meant it was retracted because they don't know shit about science.

Please don't make me look into this. Please don't... ah crap, too late OK I'MMA DO A GOOGLE

I hate when that happens, haha. eBay loves me on account of it. One coin leads to another, then another, and another,,,

And for a fine example of taking the most snarky things I say as if literally:

I mean, what do people expect when the Venn diagram of reality, satire, snark, and the absurd is a circle?

They're so busy lying about everything to go along with their Cult45 leader that there is no way for them to distinguish one from the other, it's all one big swirl.

Besides, these are the sorts that require laugh tracks to 'get' the joke.

Exactly, and thus the existential nightmare that was the Big Bang Theory got 12 seasons or something like that.

heh heh, I never watched that show.

It's the times. I call it "Planet 1984"

It doesn't have to be that one in particular. The entire run of Friends could have cut to a 10 minute dialogue that begins "OK, I'm going to nip this whole thing in the bud with a bit of frank discussion about boundries". Seinfeld could be edited to three minutes with "hi, I'm an actual lawyer here to straighten out your misconceptions". Two and a Half Men would just go "Hi, we're from child protective services!" and would go straight to roll credits.

I didn't watch them either!

I tend to avoid sitcoms, unless wonderfully stupid like Married With Children (actually I only started watching that because it came on after Ricky Lake. Yes, I have no life).

Anyways, be back in a few hours, have a fun one triggering the Donny Drones.

Well, I gotta get back to work and shit. I'm pretty confident that they can quite happily work themselves into a panty-twist today without provocation.

That's your investigation? The Lancet's one-paragraph press release which says they don't know what happened? Really?! That's as laughable as saying you fully understand the George Floyd situation after reading only the text of a generic Drew Brees apology!

This is a perfect example why leftists can't understand things. Something's 'sciencey' if it can be hammered to fit The Party narrative; otherwise it simply doesn't compute.

Anyway, for the benefit of other people, who might have the capacity to understand what's happening around them, the study published in The Lancet on May 22 was total vaporware. And yes, it was trotted out faster than obama's Nobel Peace Prize. The study was purportedly based on a set of data at an Illinois company called Surgisphere. One of the fake 'study's' co-authors is the owner of that company. In reality, the 'study' wasn't based on any data at all, only naked TDS. To date, Surgisphere has refused to share their data with independent reviewers.

Otherwise, this is a revealing glimpse into how fake news is manufactured for the Trump-hating MSM. And of course, after The Lancet falsely reported fatal side-effects of hydroxychloroquine, the MSM booed Trump louder than ever -- or at least as loud as the previous day.

You're welcome.

Sorry, but it was already enough to contradict what you claimed happened. There's more to it but you clearly don't know much about it so I'm not discussing it with you.

Why doesn't Trump try drinking water?

I'm serious. Why doesn't Trump fix the Flint, MI drinking water and maybe some other places where the presence of lead found just to make the libs' head explode so they'll have to say that clean water is bad? Double dare him to.
1 up, 4y
You mean the water issue that began in 2014, when Obama was in office? Why don't the Democrats in charge of the city, work with the Democrats in charge of the state of Michigan to fix it?

During the Coronavirus, Democrats were demanding Trump leave their state alone and not interfere with their management. Now, you want Trump to come into a Democrat to deal with a state problem. You guys are the most inconsistent group of twatwaffles the world has ever seen.

It's been an eye-popping constant since Trump got elected: Anything he does or say, the whole "authoritative" and "institutional" establishment shatters its credibility and breaks its procedures in "resistance." The amount of weakness and corruption exposed has been VERY revealing.

If Trump ever touts the virtues of drinking water, it will be one of the most reality-based comments he’s made over the course of his entire presidency, and I’ll be first in line to thank him.

Now...

As for the Lancet study, others here have been over it.

I’ll just add that many other trials around the world have been rolling in over the past several weeks, and they have all reached similar negative results with no suggestion of data problems.

https://www.statnews.com/2020/06/05/hydroxychloroquine-had-no-benefit-for-hospitalized-covid-19-patients-possibly-closing-door-to-use-of-drug/

https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2020/05/studies-find-further-lack-covid-benefit-hydroxychloroquine

Note that many of these studies are taking place in countries where HXQ has not been politicized to nearly the degree that it has here in America thanks to Trump’s strong association with it. They have no reason to be biased one way or the other.

As it stands, HXQ is neither a proven cure nor a treatment for Covid-19. And every new study that reaches the same result closes the door further on the notion that it ever will be.

Hope this helps.

If you go to Google scholar you'll find plenty of studies that say it works. There are a few that say it doesn't work but mosly with patients with advanced covid-19.
