The retards here that actually are happy about burning and looting and rioting. Yet, like you said, they seethed and whined about people with guns PEACEFULLY protesting government lockdowns.

Ya know, because they were all 'Trumpites'. Seemingly. They can own this violence. The violence the left always starts.

Especially since black people are dying like flies in the streets! By November, they'll probably only be about 500 black males that will survive this senseless daily slaughter. Cops just opening fire on any black male that dares ventures from their home. Drone strikes targeting innocent people just trying to go to the library to become NASA scientists. Too bad it had to come to this!!!

The officer may have been innocent. This rioting is out of control.

Even if George Floyd had pre-existing conditions that contributed, it was obvious to everyone watching that Floyd was dying and the officer refused to let up. Who the eff kneels on someone's neck to "restrain" them anyhow? He wasn't following procedure, and he refused to acknowledge evidence that Floyd was in distress.

I think we don’t have the full story.
0 ups, 4y
Of course we don't. There is now some evidence that the officer may have known the victim and had worked with him. So this may have been personal (not race related at all). But we just don't know.

KF: I don't support riots
Also KF: Until I do

That's a class problem, not a race problem. Unless you think only blacks are poor and disenfranchised.

You don't, do you?
6 ups, 4y,

Yes, many black people have a rough time. As do many whites. There's actually more poor whites, which makes sense as they are the majority. But regardless, life can be tough for even the richest individual. Look at Rosemary Kennedy! There's not always neat categories.

Screw that sjw concept buzzword. Altho you never really defined it.

I agree with much of that but think the focus on discrimination is perhaps too narrow.

Logic Fail. I guess it's impossible to be both black and against face-mask.

Only in Kyliefan idiot world does this pass as critical thinking.

Well, sjw liberals thinking blacks are helpless victims that need white *ahem* southern saviors to guide them to the 'right' path is probably a problem. Cuz they know better than them, amirite?

Until they decide to think for themselves. Then progressive leftists call them coons or uncle Toms.

KylieTwatWaffle is also ignoring the large amount of white people who are involved in the riots and looting.
8 ups, 4y
While I'm sure SOME are actually outraged and have good intentions, I'm willing to bet most of all races just want to loot and be violent.

Some of the videos of police brutality that have ignited protests over the past several years have shown ambiguous conduct by police, or a difficult situation that was reasonable to handle with force.

Not this one. This one might be the worst one yet, right up there next to the Eric Garner strangulation.

So yeah, people of all races have a right to be upset about this, and if you don’t understand why whites and other races would join the protests, then you don’t understand the concept of allyship.

Once again I don’t support looting, but as MLK would say, I cannot condemn riots without also condemning the social injustice that instigated them.

He said something to that effect.

Leave it you to misread and misinterpret what I said.

I never said I don't understand races are involved in the riots (they aren't protests, so stop pretending). I said YOU were ignoring that white people are in the riots, as your response only mentions blacks. Police brutality isn't specifically a black problem, it is a society level issue that impacts all Americans.

Next, MLK said nothing to effect of which you are claiming. In fact here is the part of the quote you mistakenly identified: Certain conditions continue to exist in our society, which must be condemned as vigorously as we condemn riots.

He is not saying, I won't, he is "we must". He is against riots just as much as he is against racism. He doesn't believe riots are effective, rather they are a symptom.

I agree riots are a symptom.

Here is the full MLK quote as presented in a recent article on the Minneapolis riots.

I disagree that my paraphrase of the quote was inaccurate. This gist of it is the riots and the conditions that caused them must be considered together.

Also, where is your concern about the lack of social distancing, and the potential for spreading the virus. You had a stern condemnation for lockdown protesters on that basis, but not a word about it for these rioters. Is the virus aware of racial issues?
0 ups, 4y,

Oh, I’m concerned about that too. I want them all to be wearing masks. I’ve seen photos where some protestors have, and some haven’t.

Sadly, police brutality and the riots that inevitably result don’t take a break for pandemics, apparently.

Another reason our country has fallen down on its ass in response to Covid-19.

Have you seen this Economist cover from this week? Brutal.

There are too many issues at play here to address upfront in a single response.
3 ups, 4y
Didn't see that cover. I'll have to check it out.

Just saw this from the Governor of Minnesota:

This is absolutely no longer about George Floyd or addressing inequities anymore. This is an organized attack designed to destabilize civil society."
2 ups, 4y
You didn't say they must be considered together.

And nobody is saying that racism is okay. This is a lie.

It’s possible to think for yourself as a person of any race and still vote Democrat — I know you’ll find this hard to believe but still try to process it.

I do have a problem with “Coon/Uncle Tom” language from the Left but the “Plantation“ language from the Right is just as bad and I happen to see it way more often around here. Don’t think I’ve seen a single liberal resort to this kind of language.
0 ups, 4y,

That's wasn't the point. No conservative would call a black or white person those terms for voting dem. Yet leftists do it all the time when a black person votes repub. But you know that and are being disingenuous on purpose.

I wasn't talking about 'around here'. I'm talking mainstream. What's that Biden just recently said? Not black something?
0 ups, 4y
Conservatives here can and do say black Democrats are on a “plantation” for voting the way they do

C’mon: do you really want me to dig up proof of this? I saw one within the last couple days on the front page of politics.

Biden issued a mea culpa for his remarks (darn near unheard of for Trump), and had a statement on the George Floyd protests that was light years beyond Trump’s.

Which was what again? Looting, shooting, something?

Not only did he not apologize, he threw a fit and started issuing executive orders for Twitter’s high crime of attaching a warning to his garbage.

Funny how these people - who supposedly fear for their lives by just stepping outside and afraid of being fined or arrested for no reason - have no fear of looting, arson or committing violence against police.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

Ok. But it’s an adaptation of something a black person said.

Look KF I know you’re paid to be here or whatever but if you believe blacks are abused by most whites then you would be wrong.

Some whites do have “white privilege” but most of them don’t and see black people as people who are human too. Also not all blacks are poor that is a racist stereotype.

He's not paid to be here, the content would be better if that were true.
Nobody is going to pay for that endless childish drivel, not even Democrats. None of it is useful or repeatable as propaganda. It's just a childish empty lie, an attention seeking boast.

I do, only insofar as if someone makes a big lie part of their "biography," it says a lot about whatever else they say. Like Joe Biden saying he graduated college with three degrees (lie).

As far as being paid: yes indeed, read all about it

“If you believe blacks are abused by most whites...” not what I said tho. What I would say is this: One particularly egregious incident of abuse ignited these protests/riots.

“All blacks are poor” also not a thing I said. What I said on this subject was;
there are many impoverished blacks in inner cities across America that form a distinct identity group. See above comment.

Big if true!

Not really though. Police officers are trained, or should be trained, to be mindful that suspects could have underlying conditions.

Not sure when the conduct shown here would ever be correct procedure.

The family has already announced they’re seeking an independent autopsy and I’m sure many others aren’t going to find that persuasive, either.

But do you agree that it is excusable behavior for the actions you listed? How about Latinos? Dont they have to deal with white people also and on top of that they have to deal with blacks discriminating agaist us telling us "you latinos are taking our jobs"? Do you believe black people are also not racist? Good thing the jews are not blaming blacks for slaving them in Egypt back in the days of Moses! Oh, that slavery was ok right?
