Hydroxychloroquine is an off license/generic drug that's dirt cheap and will make NO MONEY for the Pharmaceutical Industry. So don't look for any love coming from Big Pharma. Some preliminary studies are showing benefits for COVID19. It is admittedly too early to know for sure. But HCQ is approved for other uses. Safe dosage and contraindications are already known. This means that, in a clinical environment and under a doctor's supervision, it can be safely administered. And that's what needs to happen in order to get the data to prove whether or not it is indeed useful.
