"California has the 5th biggest economy in the world."
Thank you for proving my point. 5th biggest economy in the world, and the biggest homeless problem in the United States.
"Look at states like Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas and West Virginia. Poor. Red. And take more than they give in federal funds"
Don't try and pull that crap, we've already had this discussion and I proved you wrong. But since you've clearly forgotten, I'll copy-paste my reply to you last time you tried that argument:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Red states TAKE more in federal funds than they pay in." (quoting you)
Had to look into that, and I'm not seeing evidence that backs up the idea that it has anything to do with the states that get more than they put in being red states. Several red states are among the top tax-paying states, including Texas, North Dakota, and Nebraska.
On top of that, several blue states are among the /lowest tax/ paying states, aka they "TAKE more in federal funds than they pay in". This includes New Mexico, Maine, and Hawaii.
What I'm seeing is that the /lowest populated/ states tend to be the ones that get more than they put in, which only stands to reason. They deserve federal funding for certain things as much as any other state. That's part of why they joined the union, after all.
And guess what? New Mexico, Maine, and Hawaii are all among the lowest populated states.
Once again I say, as I've already said today, and as I said 3 months ago (when that copy-paste is from), stop confusing "poorest states" with "states with the most poor/homeless people". I'm beginning to think you're doing it deliberately as intentional propaganda.
