Actually no, they need to enrich uranium to above 90% purity and make about 37kg of the stuff. No where near doing that and they don't have the centrifuges currently either. Probably at least a decade away from making a viable nuclear device with a delivery mechanism if they wanted to do it.

Iran will use a mini van a suitcase or even a backpack to deliver a Nuclear blast, They won't wait until they have a missile delivery system. Their Nuclear devise doesn't need to be the most powerful, It just needs to be powerful enough to blow Israel or any middle east state off the map. Everyone is running a clock on when Iran will have the capability, Iran is working as hard as they can to beat everyone's clock.

No, the regime in Iran is despicable and I hope they get toppled in a revolution and Iranians get the government they deserve. Iran is probably at least 10 years away from getting a deliverable nuclear device and that is if they really go for it. Lets say they managed to make enough centrifuges and they can enrich uranium to the purity needed, they still do not have the capability of hitting the US. Those that would be in danger would be their near neighbours.

It's all hypothetical anyway, the Iranians lack the tech and the money to get a nuke anytime soon and if you believe a deranged narcissist racist for anything and believe tweeting is world class diplomacy, then you are deluding yourself.

So to enrich to that sort of purity, (as I've said before not easy) you need many, many high tech centrifuges, not the sort you find in a school chemistry lab. Iran just doesn't have anywhere near enough and it would take them years and lots of money to procure or develop them. So what Trump is saying and Bolton is just nonsense but then again Trump thought the Americans captured the airports in 1776, so you can't expect much from his puny brain.

So lets say in 10 years Iran develop a nuke and can set it off in Israel, (which they won't, you know nothing of ME politics), NATO does not have to respond because Israel is not in NATO. There would be a response of course, but it's all hypothetical, the same a China nuking Japan. Remember, only one country has ever used nukes on civilian targets, so the moral high ground is not theirs.
