KrapperDick needs to donate his massive fortune to the city of San Diego to help them deal with the massive outbreaks of TYPHUS among USA citizens living on the streets, and then he needs to move to Uganda, and re-establish himself as an AFRICAN given that he hates America so tremendously.

I hear that sleeping in termite mounds might offer a few degrees difference in temperatures deep at night. Colin can and should explore his African heritage again by doing so, given that he really HATES his white privilege, evidently. Such a man with balls like Colin shouldn't have a problem putting his mouth where his foot is..

Isn't making clothes out of the flag against the code of respectful use of the flag?

I did find one part of the flag code that says what you're saying - that the flag itself isn't to be used as apparel or draping.

However, it goes on:

"The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown."

And also:

"No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart." - i.e. suggesting that flag patches are something we explicitly want to reserve as something for our uniformed servicemen alone.

The Betsy Ross flag is not the official flag of the USA, Old Glory is.

Times have changed to allow for you and me to wear shoes or clothing with a American flag on it. It's just kappernick who is on a slavery butt hurt rant cause of Nike putting a flag design on its product that Susan B. Anthony made hundreds of years ago

What are the rules for this exactly? We're talking about a man who was all but crucified for a national anthem thing for which he consulted with his patriotic colleagues on a respectful to do that, but now it's "times have changed and we can just do what we want"?
[deleted]
2 ups, 6y
And he deserved to be crucified for it but one has ever stopped American public merchandise for silk screening and American flag on to a t-shirt or sewing a flag onto a pair of shoes ? Don't you recall 911 and all the American patriotic Flag t-shirts being printed out I do and I support it

It all boils down to this the flag is a part of American history slavery is a part of an American history PERIOD !
1 up, 6y
"this the flag is a part of American history slavery is a part of an American history PERIOD"

So let me start by saying that I don't understand the outrage over the flag. The flag Doesn't represent anything inherently bad (Unless you hate America in which case...) or Racist. However the argument you used to defend your stance... leaves a lot to be desired. Let me show you what I mean. One could Consider the Nazi flag to be part of German History and therefore it should be fine to wear it around. But its not. Infact wearing anything directly relating to the NS Regime in Germany is outright unconstitutional. So I think this argument is bad because there are indeed some flags that are part of history which shouldn't be worn publicly, the Nazi Flag as a Prime example.

Don't lose your minds to Nike Derangement Syndrome, Patriots. Please channel that anger into educating ourselves on the proper flag etiquette as spelled out by the American Legion. "§ 8. Respect for flag ... (d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, ... (i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like [shoes, underwear, gloves, socks all fall into this category]" https://www.legion.org/flag/code

I never approved of people draping the flag over their nude body. But I am quite sure you don't give a damn about my opinion. You're just going to come here and spew lies to try to shift the focus from that damned anti-American afro-headed greasy maggot!
He is proof that the left is anti-American and all you can do is bring up random junk just to shift the attention away from what is going on!
Do you honestly care that your country is being torn apart by the day? I would think not by your action here.

"subject of the topic of the meme that's about Colin Kaepernick the Nike shoe with a flag"

Tell that to the one making strawman arguments aimed at the right! Wrongs can't be pointed out without someone pulling something out of their hind end in an attempt to justify the wrong. It's not about the shoes. It's about the flag itself. I have no idea what is racist or offensive about that original flag. But I also had no idea what was offensive about the national anthem.

So is Colin protesting Nike now? Funny he didn't mind being their poster boy a while back despite the fact they use products made by CHILD LABOR! But like most people nowadays everyone wants to be a victim and people only thinks slavery existed in the past and only in America.

MiniAppleIs made the straw man comment. And I am pretty sure I gave him a reply. And then you replied to my comment to him. And then I replied back to you.

Yes anything with the flag colin is going to find offensive because he is anti-American.

"if you want to report them for child labor more power to you"

They have already been exposed somehow. That's how little me sitting here knows this stuff. I'm just taking someone else's word for it :D
