The fact is, most people from both sides of the political aisle want reasonable gun control. So, we know who is out of step with public opinion.

The debate is about what is reasonable. Conditions are *not* the same everywhere and definitions of what is reasonable vary. Many people in large cities would prefer for only the police to have guns. If I were a black man in Ferguson, Missouri, I don't think that I would consider that to be reasonable.
