Maybe there is a reason to fear "the religion of peace" and it's not because it is different.

Ah yes, the crusades.... In which your common high school education merely glosses over and doesn't tell you Muslims were taking over everything and had to be pushed back.

They didn't tell you about the Muslim slavers that would raid European shores and take white slaves either, did they?

You do know the Game Crusader Kings II, right? And calling the crusades a defensive war is accurate I guess? But I suppose its more of a First Strike if anything. The Muslim Caliphate at the time was indeed expanding, and had even reached Istanbul (Constantinopal) and the Iberian peninsula. So yeah. Still, I think European powers couldn't have cared less who owned what in the middle east, though they might have been worride about Iberia. Slavery was basically practised by everyone. Doesn't make it good, but tis a fault not Specific to the Muslim people. Anywho doesn't change the fact that it was done in the name of an invisible guy in the sky. Unless you wanna tell me you can see God?

No, none of that bullshit. They were all over in Northern Africa, in spain, and even in the eastern part of europe.

Seriously dude, get a clue.

I just said Iberia, which is also known as the peninsula wherein Portugal and spain find themselves. You do know Istanbul and the regions around can be considered Eastern Europe. Again, I highly doubt anyone cared who ruled Africa and the middle east, though they could've been rather worried about Iberia and Istanbul.

Are any modern day countries using Christianity to legalize death by stoning for being gay?

Yeah I agree. Christianity is much more civilized than Islam RN. Muslims in Christian nations appreciate that. Most American muslims I know recognize that the middle east is backwards

TThe important thing to do is learn from our mistakes and do our best to not go down that path again.

Sadly, not everyone thinks like this.

Sadly, there are still thousands of ISIS inspired attacks every month all around the world.

I don't fear witches but they are real. My grandmother was raised by them (her mom, and aunts) in cuba. Worshipped satan, bath her and her sibling in blood, wierd shit, not talking about the millenial wiccan bullshit. She left her folks house at 14 and eventually became Christian. Just because its rare doesnt mean it doesnt exist. If i did fear, it wouldnt be irrational, there is some lagitamacy in fearing a point of view that want to oppress and terrorize, another belief, wat of life, etc.

Probably the same number of people who think aliens are using mind control on them and only tin foil hats can save them. There will always be wackos.

The point is, expressing legitimate concern based on fact does not make it a phobia. Saying it is only because they are different when that is not the underlying reason is disingenuous.

Most people don't fear radical Islamist because they are Muslim. They fear them because they are evil and are dangerous to society.

A Pew Research Study found that 8% of the Muslims in Turkey had a favorable view of ISIS. Though that percentage seems low, it still represents 6.5 million Turkish people. The percentage is higher in places like Pakistan, Nigeria, Iran, and Egypt.

According to Pew, most Muslims have an unfavorable view of ISIS, however, the numbers suggest there are, at a minimum, a hundred million ISIS supporters worldwide.

That's a highly significant difference in degree (beheading vs harrassing) you are glossing over willy nilly like it doesn't matter. How about I volunteer for the harrassment and you volunteer for the beheading?
