I think it was very poor execution of the ad itself. If they had some noble thought or intention, it got lost in the great big pigeon hole they stuffed all men into. As well as the hypocrisy.

I think if that was their message, they did a very poor job of sending that message. I also think they made an inflammatory ad intentionally. After al, if everyone starts talking about them they stand to make a bick off of that right?

I guess it is inflammatory, but it has a lot of truth in it. But yes, its all to make a buck.

There is some truth. But to be honest, I have never once heard anyone in real life say about any inappropriate gesture from their male child toward a female that "boys will be boys". I think they could have done a better job getting whatever point is across. In these types of "PDA" commercials, they stand to benefit from NOT enraging their consumer base. So that is why I think they had a motive for the way the executed the ad. I question everyone and everything though. Had the ad been less of an attack I would probably still raise an eyebrow. I wear a tinfoil hat most of the time.

I agree they most likely made it intending it to be inflammatory. And they can say that every man who gets upset is a sexist pig, which is already being done.

Personally I think in many of the scenes they are choking on a gnat. Especially about the one where the guy is leaning against the wall and the lady walks past. He moves to begin talking with her and he is stopped while being told he shouldn't be doing that.

I am a single guy, have been all my life waiting for the right one. I believe I will know her when I see her. And I dare say I would probably look quite awe-struck when I meet her.
With that being said what is so wrong with a guy seeing a lady he is attracted to and he wants to talk to her? Is there anything under the sun that isn't considered harassment these days? I dare say, it seems like everyone nowadays strive to be a professional victim of the slightest.

I think it's a shame there can't be a shred of logic injected into the argument without it being twisted and distorted and misconstrued. I pray that this insanity diminished overtime. Because what are men to do when they just want to talk to a woman that they feel they are genuinely attracted to for both her personality and her physical attractiveness? I think women at some point will see that this thing has come back to bite them in the butt when men are afraid to even look at them. I guess we'll see in another 10 years how this plays out with the up and coming generation.

Yeah. Or maybe women should cover up a bit more?

Just my general opinion.

While I don't personally dress in revealing clothes, I also don't want to tell others how to dress. I do however think it's a little absurd for anyone to dress in extremely revealing clothes and then expect people not to look. That's insanity. Men are going to look when it's put in their face. And you go grinding on a man at a club while dressed this way that man is likely to respond. Unfortunately there are a some men out there who take advantage of these situations, and let anyone be remotely drunk. Then there's your recipe for disaster. I think we get into a real slippery slope when it comes to expectations across the board. I think everyone should practice personal responsibility. I mean, they aren't going to... but it would solve a lot of these problems if they would.

Well phrased.

I agree that that is the case.

Every wannabe white knight or virtue signaling pretender gives the pretense of caring about the mistreatment of women. But really they could care less. They make a big show, like Gillette has, by choking on gnats while turning a blind eye to real problems. If people thinks it is bad in the US they should see some other countries. Yet when I mention the barbaric treatment of women in other countries I get called a racist and people dismiss what I say as bigotry.
It seems then that only western men are mistreating women. At least in their opinion.

Well, I appreciate your comment. Sometimes I have time to up vote but have to wait to comment at a later time. You describe so perfectly just how backasswards it all really is. If only they cared more about human beings than about pandering.

Real men are also gay, because (according to a bumper sticker I once saw) real men love Jesus.....

Welp, you're misinterpreting that. it's supposed to mean that real men accept Jesus as their lord and saviour...

misquoting Trump. a lot of media made it sound like that. and Laonsite basically brings Trump into everything. he is a trump hating bot that doesnt actually discuss but just pokes fun. the full quote is here. Trump was definitely scapegoating a group, but they are illegal. It wasnt exactly clear, but I think he meant illegal immigrants, not all Mexican immigrants. and he said some are good people as well.

"When do we beat Mexico at the border? They’re laughing at us, at our stupidity. And now they are beating us economically. They are not our friend, believe me. But they’re killing us economically.
The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems.
Thank you. It’s true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.
But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting. And it only makes common sense. It only makes common sense. They’re sending us not the right people.
It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably— probably— from the Middle East. But we don’t know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don’t know what’s happening. And it’s got to stop and it’s got to stop fast."
