Actually, german tech was superior only in rocketry and jet technology. They were behind almost across the board in terms of engineering, electronics, and computing. German tanks had HORRIBLE mechanical reliability problems (the first panthers broke down constantly due to transmission problems) and were a nightmare to do maintenance on. Germans lacked sophisticated radar systems, while the UK and US had radar integrated onto ships, some aircraft, and had networks of radar stations across both theaters of war. Germans never came even close to completing their own atomic weapons program (though granted due to lack of uranium ore), and most of their greatest minds fled the country to the west to escape the Nazis. The idea that the german military was tech advanced is nothing more than propaganda. The average German infantryman used nearly the same rifle as his grandfather in WW2. The average german pilot even in 1944 was flying the same type of aircraft that they'd had in 1940, while allied air development had continued at a frightening pace. A handful of jets(which actually did perform quite well) did not make up for the other 99% of the Luftwaffe flying obsolete aircraft in the face of modern spitfires, P51s, and other advanced prop craft which the german air force could not match in numbers.

Their "tech advantage" was really nothing more than Goebbels' love child. Unfortunately the rest of the world bought it too, except those that look into actual WW2 history rather than the glorified version we see on TV.
