That's what they want to do in my state (let illegals vote.) They call it the "blue wave."
Trump came to my city to rally for Brian Kemp for governor. Been using this on leftists on FB Live all day.

Old enough to die, old enough to vote. That's the Democrat way.

A 17 year old can join the military with parental consent but a 16 year old can not. If military service is what you mean by "old enough to die."

If you are referring to a 16 year old who dies for whatever reason (even in a tragedy like a school shooting) that make no sense. Because 15, 14, 13 year olds etc. die in school shootings too. Does the Left want to let them vote too?

The idea of allowing a 17 year old to vote with "parental consent" is not a good idea because I believe the way the laws are set up now are correct: a person needs certain amount of experience and responsibility that comes with age.

I'm tempted to think increasing it is a good idea, but the young'uns never vote anyways so it wouldn't make a difference. Although I believe I saw that they're leaning right :)
1 up, 6y
From what I understand Generation Z is leaning more conservative but like you said, that doesn't mean young people are going to go vote anyway.
However, the radicals and ideologues will "hop on the bus" (literally) to go to the polls and vote for whatever leftist is running just as easily as they will go to protest. In my opinion anyway.

If the voter is dead, does it matter how old they are?

If a State wants to let teenagers do something that will have a detrimental effect on the rest of the country (like voting for leftist ideologues,) then I do not support that.

If the state wants to let immature teenagers vote for State representatives in their State
Houses and Senates and local officials, let them knock themselves out. It will show other States either how foolish or beneficial the idea is.

But not in national elections that impact the federal government.

With research pointing to brain development being incomplete until the mid-twenties, it seems we should be _raising_ all age limits: age of majority, drinking, voting, military service, etc. People "consenting" to die for their country or get married before their brains are fully developed just sounds wrong to me. And voting? Why should someone with an idealistic view of the world due to youth and inexperience be given a voice in running the country? If we're not going to raise voting age, then make people earn their franchise.

2 arrogant teens obviously represents the whole of the younger voting population

Not at all do they represent the whole younger voting population. But they do represent the ideologues who want to lower the voting age so underage ideologues will go out and vote for them.
0 ups, 6y
I also want the voting age lowered. Back in 2016, I could only sit there and watch what I couldn't have changed. I know what David Hogg has been through, but I'd never vote for him, especially since that he can't take a joke.
0 ups, 6y
Not that I am all for it, there was a reason that land ownership was a requirement for voting. It is easy to vote for increasing taxes and spending when you have no skin in the game. If they want to really do that then they should also abolish the drinking age limit.

16 year olds moere willing to vote because their parents can drive them to the polls, they're more passionate about politics, only one of those statements i can confirm for certain, and millennials arent voting because they arent passionate and they dont think their vote matters. also isnt dc where the white house is doesnt make sense for the president to approve of children voting also imgflip add dark theme before i steal your foreskin

Na dude, reporters went around asking Texas College students what Beto's accomplishments were and why they were voting for him. The only accomplishment they could list was that he did a good job of "getting out there". In other words, they were voting for him because they knew he was the democrat.

Most people are idiots. We don't need to add even more uneducated idiots to the voting pool. Children do not need to vote. Raise the age requirement if anything.

Generation Z has been proven to be a rather self-aware and intelligent generation. When Gen Z reaches power, they might drive out both Democrats and Republicans.

Millennials and Gen X are self-centered. Gen Z has it too, but they know how to look up actual knowledge easily, and are more comfortable with the internet than the generations before them, which is a burden on those too lazy to use the internet (boomers and gen x).

Isn't Gen Z the official name of millennials? What's the time frame you're talking about, birth wise?

Gen Y are millennials, born between 1985 and the early 90s. Gen Z were born from 1995-98 to 2012.

Hmm i had that backwards. I though the millennials were the 90s to 00's.

They are more internet savvy, but they eat tide pods and snort condoms.

The only reason Democrats want children voting is they have been indoctrinated by our public schools. After people enter the real world some can identify many of the lies they've been spoon fed, though for some the indoctrination will hold. Dems want to their votes before any are given a chance to break their indoctrination.
0 ups, 6y
What makes you think Republicans weren't indoctrinated either? Let's face it, if we allowed only boomers to vote our nation would get nowhere. Democrats lost sleep over Gen Z as well due to Gen Z's fiscal conservatism. Lastly, seriously? The tide pod challenge?
A) Only a small number of millennial-ish Gen Z kids did it. The rest of Gen Z made fun of them
B) Gen Z gave up Tide pods 10 months ago after boomers turned it into a joke about Gen Y.
