Mainly stuff I looked up in the summer, fact checking.
I know we're due for a recession - overdo in fact, but lasting effects of the last recession and the slow crawl out of it has delayed the normal cycle, opushing the bust till later.
That's why the tax cuts for the non rich expire in 2020, because we will be in the depths of it. Should the Dems take Congress next week, or take the WH in 2020, the Republicans will just blame them for the disaster of their short sighted fiscal policies. They're still blaming Obama for Bush's recession, and discrediting his repair of it. The Republicans got much of what they wanted already, so the midterms is a win win for them whichever way it goes - either they gt more candy to pick, or scapegoats to pin it on, stting things up for retaking gov't in the future.
