Yeah,right-she rigged it so she would LOSE? That never has made any sense! And no matter how many times you repeat it,& no matter how many times you get your Eastern block buddies to vote up your memes, sheer repetition won't make Hillary Clinton guilty of something she DIDN'T DO! All Americans aren't as dumb as you think we are-even if our legislators are too busy stuffing their own pockets to allow us to get decent primary school educations & higher educational opportunities. No one tweaks the web to LOSE! Putin hated Hillary. He was prepared to give her a Dioxin treatment like he gave Yuschenko in the Ukraine in 2004 if his pet flying monkey didn't "win" by dint of his & his GOP buddies mudslinging campaigns & hacking of voter databases & the infusions of cash for Trumps campaign didn't work. As if Trump, the biggest ripoff artist EVER,would actually fund his own campaign! Trump wouldn't pay his own lunch bill! We all know exactly what happened, any of us who were paying attention during the 2016 sElection!

You sure seem to be as dumb as we think you are if that's what you believe. DOJ's indictments very clearly state that no US citizens were involved AND that no voting results were changed as a result of the Russian tampering. Go read them yourself if you don't believe me. The first one also stated that russian interference was aiming to get either Trump OR Sanders elected - Russia didn't care who won as long as it wasn't Hillary. That makes neither Sanders OR Trump accomplices or guilty of "collusion". They have no control over who someone else chooses to interfere against. You are delusional, and ignore the facts coming straight from the Russian indictments you guys scream about all the time. Maybe instead of believing what the talking heads tell you, you should actually read the indictments yourself?

Need I remind you that Hillary won the popular vote, and that Putin confirmed that he instructed his officials to help Trump win? The fact that people are still supporting the idea that the election was rigged in Hillary's favor is ridiculous

This is the rigging of which we speak!

If I'm honest, I don't see what you're trying to prove with that picture. You've provided no context, given no backround, and I'm kinda confused. And if it does say what I think you're implying, then you're just proving my point. Yes, the election process in our country is broken, and yes, some democrats have benefited from it as well. That doesn't make it right, it just shows that people from both sides of the political spectrum SHOULD be fighting to get rid of anything resembling an electoral college, and that isn't the case.

Hillary won by three million authenticated American votes.

Donald won by nobody knows how many rubles. And after all this time, he's still less popular than Obama.

One man one vote? Yeah, so somebody in Wyoming gets 22 times as much electoral power as people in the states where the American population is actually centered.

Hold on tight. That's the only way to elect incompetent Republican A*holes. Dubya, now Trump. Leave No Billionaire Behind.

The U.S is a Constitutional Republic with democratic elements, not a pure democracy.

The electoral college was created long before the Republican party was created. Now stop being a pretentious jerk.

When the Electoral College was created, it was made because the founding fathers didn't think that Americans could easily get ahold of adequate information. Nowadays, we have access to more info than they could've dreamed of, and are more capable (most of the time) of making decisions for ourselves. So why are we still bending to the Electoral College and not making our own decisions on what we as a country want, not what the rich oligarchs of the Electoral College want?

There are more people in each of those blue "specks", while many of the red areas are generally less densely populated. If you know anything about human geography, you'd know that those blue specks are some of the most populated areas in the country, and that the red areas are far less populated.

Oh, so the electoral college actively stops the president from being chosen based on the majority vote? Because those East and West coast cities are the most populated areas of the country, while many rural places are far less dense.
reply
2 ups, 2 replies
That is the idea, yes. To give less populated states equal say in government. Otherwise the flyover states would essentially have no representation. Their votes would be meaningless vs. the masses on the coasts. Do rural people not deserve a say in government? How would you feel about it if you were in their shoes?

That and the fact that the states were the ones to ratify the constitution. They were under no obligation to unite under it. Their ratifying of it was conditional upon having enough of a voice to be able to guard their interests from being trampled by the overwhelming masses of the more populated states. Hillary won california by 4 million votes. Take that away and you have Trump with the popular vote. As it stands, Hillary received her popular vote due by getting all of that state’s electoral votes. There is no reason that all the freaks in two states (California and New York) should be able to force Idaho to celebrate national Homo Day.

There is SOOOO much wrong with what you just said.

First off, nobody is "forced" to celebrate any holiday. That would be a violation of their first amendment rights. And don't bring homosexuals into this. That's not what the conversation is about, and it's wrong to talk about people like their some lesser species.

Secondly, once again, the popilat vote isn't about states. It's about every INDIVIDUAL citizen having an equal say in who runs our country. Nobody should have more say in that vote because they're from a less populated area.

Finally, the fact that you're suggesting that Clinton won the popular vote because of California is simply ridiculaous. She won in a multitude of states that are more populous. And the idea that you could take away that certain amount of votes and give Trump the popular vote is ridiculous. It suggests now that THOSE 4 million people's votes don't matter, and can be thrown away. Obviously, that wasn't your intention, but that's just a glaring falacy I noticed in your argument.

Popular vote isn't about states. Popular vote is about the whole of the country deciding in an equal and fair way. Nobody from a less populated state has more say than someone in a more populous state, and vice versa. The perception that popular vote is about states is, frankly, incorrect.
