I downloaded an 801mb file in about 45 seconds. That would have easily taken all day on dialup.

oh man yeah, i remember having this old square computer. would turn it on in the morning, go shower, get dress, eat breakfast and then about then was when the computer finally finished turning on

My first new computer was a 250mhz with Windows 98. Dialup was still a thing then.

I keep asking all my friends if they know what the dial up is, they all say no. Well except for one. But then all the ones that said no, I ask their parents, “You didn’t teach your child about the dial-up?” One parent said “what’s that?”

There was a Buffalo-based music store franchise called Record Theater. I went in there one day back in the 90s shopping for a VHS movie. A pretty young thing was behind the cash register, so I walked up, smiled , and jokingly asked her "Hi, there...where are the records?"

She looked at me like I'd just landed from another planet. No recognition on her face at all! It was all I could do to not laugh at the poor girl.
