[image deleted]I think mental health issues are not being addressed. Also if you are a family member with a violent person, please secure your weapons so only you have access. If you see a problem report it and when reported someone needs to look into it and follow up. Also there are just criminals who will never follow any law, just watch LIVE PD and see the number who drive without a license or under influence.
I don't agree. I love shooting for sport. There are leagues and competitions with firing weapons at targets and clay pigeons. Like anything on this earth, if you have ill intent with it, it can kill someone.
You get it and thanks for the support. I don't get too political but I see you go back and forth with several people. I just hate arguing with people who can not use logic.

I try not to, but I can't help myself sometimes. Political memes are part of me. lol
It is still the primary objective when they were designed. They can be used for other things, but it's not what they were mainly designed for. The first guns were made to break down castle gates (now they're referred to as cannons), and they have evolved into the main weapon mankind uses against each other (and other living things).

Yes, I am well aware of this. However, you did say it only has one purpose, which it does not.
True, true... I agreed with second line. The intent is whether it's used for good or bad. However, whatever the intention is doesn't hide what it was designed to do.
Provide food for people, provides relaxation and fun for those who target shoot. Just to name a couple. What other purposed does a hammer have besides nailing something .... oh it can be used to kill someone.
Oh yeah, "relaxation" is totally equal to a building or a handicraft.... Also, food? Really? No one will go hungry from not hunting. Anyway, I'm not against shooting as a sport, but I think there should be more control on guns sales.
Do you live in the West and in the mountains? We have friends who rely on this because stores are 30+ miles away. In winter they can not get out until spring in many places. We are individuals and not all in the same situation.
Nope, I'm in Europe. Ok, let's say there are people who need to hunt. What about the majority living in cities? What could they possibly need an assault rifle for? There are other means of self defense that don't have a 30 rounds or more magazine.
Europe is another culture. We are raised here in America to be self sufficient. We have our constitution that gives us that right. I do not understand why Eurpeon's allow the government to provide for their safety instead of themselves. We are just raised differently. Is there really a need to have a car with 1000 hp ... not really but if you can afford it why not. It is fun. Do they use the 1000 hp all the time? No but it good to have in case you need it one day. I appreciate your point of view and is nice to speak to someone from Europe. I am second generation, from Czechoslovakia. My family left because of socialism and peoples rights were being stomped on. So I was taught by my elders not to allow that to happen here. Take care and have a great day.
The Japanese were warned for two weeks, ignored the magic bomb threat, then figured there naturally must be only one after it was used, kept on with the war they started, THEN surrendered when they got nuked the second time and got the hint.
