How about C: other countries do not have easy access citizenship like US does. Do you think, that other countries allow anchor babies like US does? Most of them you will not get citizenship period. I go by statistics and studies performed. I research my information. Here is a fact. My mom came to this country with 2 kids, single, and no money 20 years ago. Now my mom is living the American dream and her kids also have their own family living the American dream. Tell me again why should I look at the homeless who 1) speak the language 2) are citizens 3) have no kids to support? They lack the drive, they are lazy and do not want to get off their comfort zone. I don't think America is a bad country, but when someone keeps saying "lets make America great again", you'd think presently it's not.

I think it means we were headed in the wrong direction. And given the great accomplishments we've made in the past, by comparison we do need to make America great again. In either case, people never stop beating down the door to get in. And despite whatever woes I've had with our leadership, and directions we've taken of the years... I'd never want to live anywhere else, ever. And most people that move here, never want to leave.

Good points. A healthy stock market is good for the economy as a whole but only 50% of Americans invest in it. The gap between rich and poor seems to keep widening and automation will keep eroding jobs. Interesting times for sure.

My family is middle-class. My Grandmother's entire livelihood is dependent upon her investment she's made with the money she got from my Grandfather's life insurance when he died somewhat prematurely in his 60s. My father, similarly is investing money for retirement, preparing for the future. So the stock-market has a broad reach.
The rich are always getting richer. But what I love about America is there opportunity for anyone to pursue their dreams.
You may have a point about automation. But... it's not like being a clerk at Wal-Mart or McDonalds was ever a dream job anyway.

The problem is that no One teaches the High School kids about how to invest, benefits of investing, and the dangers of getting into debt. That is the major problem, lack of education and vision when they get out of school. That and the lie that you are required a very expensive college education to be successful.

Can't argue against preparing kids for life.
