My point is that he didn't need the gun. At all. So this 'good guy with a gun' is clearly a marketing slogan to get you to be scared of brown people and buy more guns.

1- This action was the exception and not the rule.

2 - The bad guy's gun jammed meaning he had pulled the trigger. Had the gun not jammed the situation could have ended differently.

Keep pretending you do not understand that the bad guy had a gun.
