i'm not israeli, palestinian, or a follower of an abrahamic faith, so take this with a grain of salt | I am not anti-Israel and I do not condone the actions of Hamas, but I support a two state solution. I just believed that we should support Israel only if they avoid as much civilian casualties as they can, and I was upset about innocent people in Gaza losing their lives, many of which are against the authoritarian rule of Hamas. We've seen a lot of college students support Palestine/Gaza over the past 1&1/2 years, and I did have the Palestinian flag in my Imgflip bio at one point. Even the U.S. caused significant civilian casualties, some voluntary, in Vietnam and the Middle East. That's one reason why anti-American sentiment exists around the world and among some liberals in America. Now that negotiations have failed, it is likely that Israel will win and the people of Gaza need to flee for their safety. Our best bet is to combat anti-semitism at home. If the gov. can crack down on pro-Palestinian movements on college campuses, it should also do something about Kanye and his dangerously offensive tweets. As for Musk, I believe that he's not a fascist and he's pro-Israel as well, and the hand raise might have just been a PR mistake, and I wish he didn't have to leave the gov. so soon. That's my take on the situation.
