IF JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY, WHAT ABOUT THE DESERT-ISLAND DWELLER WHO HAS NEVER HEARD OF HIM? [1 of 2] Let’s say he’s never had a visitor, whether human, animal, bird, or insect. The skeptics question is this: "Do you mean to tell me God is going to send that poor guy to hell?!” You may know the answer if you’ve already seen our seminary-style study classes, Discipleship 101 & 102. It’s a disciple’s education for every Christian because Jesus' last words upon leaving earth were, "Go and make discipled learners of all nations.” Disciples can each save multitudes. Romans 1 and 2 answer our question and it’s called the "three C's.” First is the C in "Creation.” Having no Bible is no excuse. Romans 1 says none of us have an excuse because we had "the light of creation." Just step outside to see a bird, a flea, or a bee and that's intelligent design (just as your car is), which implies a Designer. The unfathomable complexity of the stars and planets show there is no stinking way this all happened by chance. All of creation drives us to know that there is a God. Romans 1 tells us this: "God's invisible attributes, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world.” God is seen and heard just by observing and hearing His creation. So everyone is accountable, having no excuse. | image tagged in jesus, bible, salvation, heaven, god, hell | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

[2 of 5] DO YOU WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THE FUTURE? Another sign the Bible gives that we’re living in the last days, is that the Church will go into apostasy. For those of us looking at Bible prophecy, I think sometimes we focus on the number of earthquakes rising, wars, and rumors of war; but I want to say, "Hey, don't just look on the outside of these Church walls." If we want to know we're in the last days, the Bible tells us to look inside at our own camp. Two thousand years ago, Paul wrote to Timothy about how the Church will know when we are living those last days. What he wrote must've blown Timothy's mind. Paul basically said, "Listen, can you imagine this? It's actually going to happen, man. We won't know the day or hour but hey, it's getting close when we see this: We Christians will actually still attend Church services but all we'll get from the pulpit will be fluffy stuff and stories made up.” Paul tells Timothy the last days will involve the Church gathering around themselves teachers who will just tickle their ears ("knetho" in Greek, which means only "pleasant things"). He says people will turn aside from the truth and only listen to myths or stories made up ("mythois" in Greek). During the last days, Paul is saying we'll see this mindset happen in the Church. It won't just be out in the world with all that wickedness, wars, earthquakes, famines, and pestilence; Paul says the Church will only be giving us pleasant topics and stories made up. Hey, it's a good thing we see no signs of that, right? Wrong! It's everywhere today! Regularly these days we get calls from here in the U.S., Canada, South America, Europe, and as far as Australia; always with the same legitimate complaint: "I can't find a healthy Church!" or "I can't find someone who will preach the Bible." Sometimes they'll add, "Now I'm the weird one for asking my pastor to preach the other third of the Bible (prophecy) he's been leaving out." And with many supposedly-Christian Churches, they don't even give the other two thirds. All their people hear is, "Hey, we're going to help you become a better you," or "Let's talk about how to be financially successful," or "Let's build up your self esteem.” But my Bible says we need to esteem others more than ourselves. We are to deny ourselves, pick up our cross, and follow Christ every day. Oops! Still, congregations today, gathering fluff preachers around them, are a major sign we're living in the last days. | image tagged in bible, prophecy, end times, god, jesus, christian | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

IS THE BIBLE A HISTORICALLY RELIABLE DOCUMENT?
There are three tests. The first is bibliographic, which examines whether the documents we have today are the same as those originally written by the authors. "This test considers the quantity of existing manuscripts and the time between the earliest copies and the originals.” When people try to mock the Bible as untrustworthy, keep this in mind: there are only 49 copies of Aristotle's writings in existence and each is at least 1400 years removed from the original. It get's worse: of the writings of Plato, who used to be my son's favorite philosopher (or maybe that was "Play-Doh”), there are only 7 copies on the planet and they are 1200 years removed from the original. Contrast that with the Bible, of which we have over 24,000 copies and they're finding more all the time. The earliest of those is only 25 years removed from the original and even from within the lifetime of the actual authors. Yet people don't think to question the authenticity of Aristotle or Plato's writings while they scoff at the Bible. It makes no sense. And the Bible’s preservation story gets better than 25 years. In the same community where the Dead Sea Scrolls, (with their Old Testament copies), were found, just in the last few years they have actually found copies of the New Testament books too. If you use the dates people estimate for the writing of the New Testament manuscripts, based on what they just found, we now have portions of the Gospel of Mark from within 13 years of being written, portions of Romans from within 11 years, James within 8 years, Acts within 5 years, 1 Timothy within 5 years, and portions a 2 Peter from the exact same year it was estimated to have been written. Yet people want to mock and scoff at the Bible. Excuse me?! It just doesn't make sense.

WHEN I DIE, how can I know for sure I’m saved so I can be with God for eternity instead of cut off from Him, ending up in hell? First, understand and admit my spiritual need. Second, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible and accept the fact that He died on the cross to pay for my sins. He took the death penalty in my place. Third, receive Him as Savior. God is holy and I am not. He is also just, so He demands punishment for my sins. And therefore, I’m in a heap of trouble, which I can’t undo, work off, or earn an exemption from. However, praise God, He is gracious. He allowed His son to take the punishment in my place and I believe in that. I am trusting in the fact that He did the work for me and I’m trusting by faith. That’s what it means to receive Christ as your Savior. If you do this, you have Christ as your eternal Savior. On top of that, it can’t be lost. How can that which is eternal become “not-eternal?” How can that which is born again become unborn? How can that which is a gift be taken away? If that were true, it would not be a gift. | image tagged in death, heaven, hell, god, bible, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
