A heartfelt final plea to Trump supporters. Please come back to reality. | To anyone out there that still believes there was voter fraud and that the election was stolen from Donald Trump:; You have my sympathy. I know you support Trump and don't want to believe he lost fair and square, but it is what it is. I know you want to believe Trump can do no wrong and that his words are above suspicion, but the truth is, he is and always has been a manipulative grifter. I understand your pain. It's very difficult to accept that your candidate lost, and it's even more difficult to admit you were fooled by lies and misinformation. It isn't made any easier by the fact that the Authoritarian party (which you call the GOP) actively encouraged and participated to help Trump undermine democracy. But the fact remains, there are those in power that don't like democracy. They have been suppressing voter turnout for decades. They will not willingly respect the will of the people. Sadly, it didn't begin and won't end with Trump. They tried this again when they tried to keep states from expanding mail-in voting. But the states did, and voter turnout reached record levels. The will of the people prevailed. Although Trump and the authoritarians tried everything to overturn the results, they failed. Democracy survived this latest assault, and will continue to as long as we remain vigilant. But as long as you refuse to face reality, to acknowledge the hard truths, and to accept the election outcome, those that would seek to overthrow democracy will always have a seed of doubt from which to manipulate and fool others. So please, for your sake, the sake of your loved ones and the sake of your country, come back to reality. Abandon these delusions that ensnared so many, and leave Trump behind.
