The rest all have a list of demands from their leaders, telling the followers all the WORKS needed to supposedly attain heaven for themselves. Contrary to that, the biblical truth is that there is only one Mediator between man and God who is Jesus Christ. We are able to go straight to Him, avoiding any of man’s rituals, because all the work has already been DONE FOR US. And it costs us nothing except to humble ourselves, admitting we need a savior. In Hebrews, John says, as Christians we have the freedom to go directly to God and do so with boldness, always finding Grace and help from Him in our time of need. Isn't that mindblowing!? Even today, when I read that it feels like the words are coming off the pages, just as John seemed to have his mind blown by that realization. John is amazed at the thought that we are actually CHILDREN OF GOD.

[2 of 2] Romans 5 talks about how, as ungodly sinners before getting saved, we hated God and He didn't need us but still chose to die for us so that we can become what we are today as Christians--HIS ACTUAL CHILDREN! And it's all free. There's no priest to go through, NO WORKS, no money to send in, and no techniques to perform. It's all been taken care of--it's done! Yet people want to say, "We all know every religion teaches pretty much the same thing." No! That's a lie. Christianity is absolutely unique and is the only way. But in his depravity and still to this day, Satan has invented a myriad of false paths just to confuse people away from Jesus. And the devil does so out of pure evil, wanting as many people as he can dupe to join him in the Lake of Fire. Satan knows he's lost. He's the loser. Jesus beat him on the cross. But Satan has teamed up with humans (who seek power and money), to deceive people all the way into an eternity in hell. The alternative is to only accept the free gift of salvation given to us by Jesus' work on the cross.
