"but but officer I can't describe the suspect's gender without affirming their gender identity. I'm not a bigot. I forgot to ask them their pronouns."

Officer "Damn why did I take job in this blue state? I'm better off in Walmart."

Some people have low comprehension skills!! These are actual recommendations by state officials!! You can carry in Minnesota. I rather be judged by people from Idaho, and explain to an Idaho police officer!!

The meme makes me question what type of people want to live in those states. The criminals I understand, target rich environment, the people on the legal side not so much. Why bother risking your life to protect anyone when the system you work under encourages crime?

We have already seen proof Americans are not willing to provide aid to blue states during national emergencies, soon mutual aid across state lines will also end. Citizens in blue states are being encouraged to pay protection money, giving up a cell phone is the first step. The just surrender mentality is the worse form of cowardice. Supporting the madness is number two,

The antigun crowd's opinions on who carries and why is not important. Those of us that have faced armed men already know another man with another firearm evens the playing field but doesn't mean you will survive. In life you can live and risk everything in an attempt to thrive or hide and pretend you are safe. Either way you have to live with that.

In the end every anti-gunner is a coward. Most lie about that, especially to themselves.

Agreed.

What a lie! I live in Minnesota and have never been robbed or had to fight with a criminal. I bet the OP has never lived in or even been to Minnesota.

I've been to Idaho and would never go there again. The people are backward, hillbilly like and reminded me of the characters you'd see in those backwoods horror genre of movies.

I am actually shocked about this fact. I live in Utah and I never would have thought that Idaho is less safe than Minnesota. I know that there is a lot of open space in both states but I think that Minneapolis is a more populated city than any one city in Idaho. Plus Minnesota is a blue state and there is always much more violence in blue states than red states, unless it is a blue city within a red state. Like Salt Lake City is a blue city in a red state. There is more crime in Salt Lake City than the rest of the state.

Democrat controlled areas are just less interested in protecting the innocent and more interested in helping the guilty. No one on the left would ever admit that but actions speak louder than words.

This meme is not about safety, it is about what the police dept. tells you to do when responding to violent threats. If you shoot and kill a person who intended on killing you then you save your life and the lives of anyone else that creep might have tried to kill in the future.

Leftists seem to always want to tell you everything to do to get yourself killed or if you are a woman to get yourself raped and killed.

However in red states, the police remind you that you are the first responder and you have 100% the right to defend yourself and others from violence.

You do. And because you live in NYC you will never ever get one. You can apply for a conceal carry permit but you won't get one. I've heard they've even refused to give a CCW permit to a police officer.

The only ones allowed to carry a firearm in NYC are criminals and Mamdani's entourage (same thing).

I don't need permission because Utah as a Constitution carry state and a stand your ground state.

Before it was a Constitution carry state, I got my conceal carry permit. So now I have two permissions to carry concealed, one from the state of Utah and other is an inalienable right endowed by our Creator. However, I rarely ever carry because my holster attaches to my belt and it always tries to pull my pants down. I don't like that so I leave my gun at home locked up in a gun safe.

All the meme is saying is what the Police tell citizens in both states how to respond to violence.

It says nothing about your right to carry a firearm.

You are grossly misunderstanding. If someone stole my cellphone I would not shoot him or her, nor do I have any legal grounds to allow me to shoot them.

You can ONLY shoot someone IF and only IF they are trying to take your life or the life of another. That's it. If you shoot someone for any other reason you are going to jail.

If someone has no intention to kill you then you are getting into a gray area. Because even if they had no intention of killing you but you genuinely felt your life was being threatened then you can legally shoot them. But all of that is subject to a hearing.

Seriously, all you need to do is take a conceal carry course in your state and you will know what your legal rights are. And the reason why you are instructed in a conceal carry class to always state that your life was threatened is because if you say something else, regardless of the facts you could find yourself in prison for what was clearly self defense. Of course, you actually do have to be in fear for your life, even if the person threatening you did not have any intention of killing you.

When I got my conceal carry permit (which is no longer necessary in Utah because Utah is a constitution carry state) the class was taught by a police officer who understood the law. He instructed us that when we use our firearm you must shoot to kill and not to injure. If you injure them they can take you to court. Which also adds to the gravity of the situation. It means that you honestly are in fear for your life and not just out to kill someone.

Self defense is sometimes more complicated than some bad guy pointed a gun at me and I shot first.

In a blue state if you shoot someone who is trying to kill you or someone else, you are going to jail. Because no good deed goes unpunished in a blue state. Some blue states will charge you with illegal possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm in a residential or business area. Democrats don't care about your life, they only care about making a statement against firearms.

I will never ever live in a blue state again. I lived most of my life in So. California and never will I live there again.

Show me in the OP where it says "this is what the police tell you".

Section 1 says "carry a gun. Tell them you were afraid."

Section 2 says "give them your cellphone or wallet. Describe them."

There's nothing about what the police say in there. It's just a list of reasons why he prefers a red state over a blue state.

I live in Texas. I don't need a conceal carry course. I can just do it.

And as you have said in your response: when you decide to carry a gun you commit to being a murderer.

How do you square that with being a Christian? Y'all keep insisting that Christianity is the religion of peace. How do you reconcile willing to commit murder over the contents of your pockets with being "the religion of peace'?

Christ directly told you to turn the other cheek. and here you are positioning yourself to not do that. And it's not just refusing to turn the other cheek, you're going to break one of the 10 commandments.

God told you twice and you're gonna do it anyway.

I am just assuming that it was the police because I pretty much got that same information when I got my conceal carry permit in Utah about 15 or more years ago. Since then Utah has also become a Constitution carry state and a carry permit is not necessary, however there are a few more places I can carry with the CCW than with out in Utah.

My teacher in the CCW class was a police officer who did taught this class part time.

What was attributed to Minnesota is also what I have hear liberals tell people to do.

How do I square self-defense as a Christian? Have you read the Bible? The 10 Commandments says "Thou shalt not kill" In the King James Version. But if you talk to any Hebrew scholar, they will tell you the Hebrew word was mistranslated. I don't remember the Hebrew word used but the accurate translation is "murder", not "kill". There is a difference between "kill" and "murder".

Christ said to turn the other cheek in an altercation. Christ also said there will be times when you should pick up the sword. "Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." Luke 22:36

Christianity has never taught that you have to right to self-defense. Only if someone is saying something bad to you or maybe they even just punched you once, then you can "turn the other cheek". But of the guy punches you again and his intent is either murder or serious bodily harm then you are not supposed to constantly "turn the other cheek". You can if you want to but there is no sin in defending your life. There is only sin if you are defending your pride.
