Things we could have but don't for dumbass reasons-

Flying Cars - While expensive people don't want to mass produce to get the price lowered and/or plan out 'sky highways'.

Nuclear Power Plants(Fission and Fusion) - Too expensive, dangerous to the environment(fusion would have minimal impact), and it'd take too long to build.

Radio Wave Cancer Treatment - Patents are being fought over because the idiots who helped developed the device went to big pharm for production instead of starting their own business.

Me personally flying cars are too dangerous I’m sticking with normal cars

With AI and floating highway markers there would be almost zero risk. You wouldn't have wild animals and people and bikers and terrain to get in the way. Worst case scenario you get vehicle problems.

In a way you are correct. Lost count of the number people pulling into the gas station with barely enough fumes to keep their vehicle running. Then there is one regular customer that still won't get their vehicle's starting system fixed and has to attempt to start the vehicle two or three times before it turns over.

And one evening a car battery did die. I asked the driver to put the car in neutral so I could try to push it out of the way . . .the driver couldn't because the transmission is tied to the vehicle's computer system and with the battery dead. . .thankfully it was slow night.

Nuclear power plants are actually extremely safe now, and the cheapest they have ever been, its because of oil companies with so much more power in places like America where oil is a lot more abundant they can prevent major foothold for nuclear, which is rly unfortunate since it is, in my opinion at least, the best energy production method out there

Then there was that damn Cold Fusion hoax in the 1980s. To put on some tin foil for a moment, maybe it was done purpose to either set back development or get rid of it once and for all.

Cold fusion is theoretically possible and we have made successful experiments for it, but after that there was no more progress. Almost like someone didn't want us having cold fusion

Eh... the radio waves supress the cancer while they are in the field but it comes back when they leave it.

The method I'm talking about is that the cancer cells are injected with nano-sized metal that have no affect on the human body. The patient is then hit with a burst of radio waves with a frequency that is harmless to us. The radio waves turns the patient into a 'microwave oven' for a moment. The nano-metal is heated up and cooks the cell from within while the skin of the cell bursts which is an instant death for any type of cell.

Of course a whole lot of people wouldn't like that even if the patent issue gets resolved.

I'm ok with the no flying car situation because I don't want a stupid idiots on a drunk joy flight crashing into my house. Even if something can self fly, Not worth the statistical rate of failure.

Lol if open boarders is allowed just so illegals can make 75 dollars an hour building and framing, theirs a green card application for that. The other issue with the belief that only Mexicans are good at building is that maybe their not. Go to a large building site, watch a Mexican pee in a plastic bottle, then seal it into the wall. Lost forever till someone finds it in a remodel. I'm seriously not making this up. And I for one believe we have 16 year olds that can read English and would make fine builders, we allow them to take wood shop, why not entice our own youth into building. We pay illegals under the table big money, why not pay youth citizens big money. Oh I know why ..... Because construction companies usually avoid paying employee taxes because they hire out in contracts.

Not necessarily arguing with you, just commenting on the liberal mindset. And, IMO, the pre Biden Era Mexicans were largely good immigrants. But, yes, lawful immigration serves an important function. Especially in preventing the entry into America, just to collect public benefits.

Where I live Demorhhoids took over the county 26 years ago. Now, ya can't drink the water that costs $88 bucks a month and even CNN does true stories about how horrible it is.

The real enemy is our legal system; every pipeline faces lawsuits. People will claim animals are impacted, it is sacred land, prime farmland and a hundred other excuses. The reality is people on one end of the country will never sacrifice for the other side. Our legal systems encourage agendas to wreak havoc on progress.

Desalination is an emensely expensive and difficult process, and believe it or not people inland have been finding fresh water in rivers and lakes and underground quite successfully for millennia

The entire west coast of the United States considers dams to be genocidal to fish, so all that fresh snow melt from the Sierras flows unused to the sea. I'd let them thirst to death but they go to court to steal our water that we have kept in reservoirs
