We didn't start off with any taxation at the Federal level. The government survived on tariffs. Tariffs at that time really only affected the more well off. We made everything ourselves but the handful of items that only the rich could afford had tariffs on them. So most of the people didn't have to pay for any of those tariffs.

Of course that is all different with Trump's tariffs. I opposed them at first but then I understood what he was trying to do. He is trying to build back our manufacturing base so that we can compete in the world. It just sucks that Biden had to go drastically deflate the value of our dollar before Trump enacted his tariffs. Tariffs have exactly the same negative effect on our economy as tax increases. Democrats lie their butts off when they say they are only increasing taxes on the rich. They always increase taxes on everyone. Democrat politicians are basically peeing on us and telling us it is raining. Republicans know it is pee and try to get away from it but Democrat voters think it is rain and then they start playing in it.

Our taxation scam is the worst system in the world. It is evil. It is forcing the 1% to pay 80% (or thereabouts) of all of the money collected by the IRS. The IRS should be abolished.

How would you pay government? Cut the size of the government by 95%. Yes, that would create a ton of unemployment but I would give every government employee 2 years before their termination date to get training and/or find a job in the private sector. The only area of government I would not cut is the military. If we don't have a strong military then we won't have a country.

If we have to keep any type of taxation I am not sure would be the best. I keep vacillating on the two competing theories, flat tax or sales tax. I sort of think the flat tax would be the best. Everyone pays the same income tax rate and that rate must never go higher than 10% and that ceiling must be set in stone to keep the Democrats greedy hands off of it.

If we created a national sales tax instead and kept that at about 5% or lower, also with a ceiling set in stone it might work out better for the economy. If the government screws up the economy they get less revenue because people won't be able buy as much. I still think no taxation would be the best.

It was not a disaster. Not at all. The left complained about USAID. I don't if it was because the letters AID was in the acronym or not. But all they were was a money laundering debt. It has ZERO to do with providing aid to anyone.

We were loooooooooonggggg over due to have the government cleaned out. Trump did about 1% of what we need. We just do not need 95% of what the government does. It is completely unnecessary. Governments, all governments, are only good at three things, killing, robbing and enslaving. Everything else they absolutely suck at.

The mainstream media is not about to report anything that might make Trump look successful at anything, and that includes Fox News. However, if you dig a little you will find that it is starting. A huge problem is that China so far has been eating the cost of the tariffs and keeping their product prices low. They can't do that forever or they will collapse. But then maybe they can. What makes Chinese prices so low is they enslave their citizens because that is what communists do.

There is some movement. I've hear that some multinational corporations are moving plants to the US but I can't remember which ones.

What will really let us know will happen in the next few years. There are products that aren't manufactured in the United States that new startups will have to make. It is too soon to know if they are going to survive or not.

But like I said, China has been eating the costs of the tariffs on purpose. One reason is they actually hate us despite the fact that they would not be able to survive without us. They hate capitalism but capitalism is what is propping their sorry government up.

The other reason is because they want to remain the leader in all products sold to the United States. So far they are still selling more products than what we can make. And even most of the products made in the US are make of Chinese parts.

That all may take a while before we see anything and we will never see it in the mainstream media. They will never ever say any positive about Trump. They will lie their butts off, with impunity, before reporting anything good that Trump caused.

That is exactly why you come here telling us stuff that we know is a lie and pushing it like it is Gospel truth. It is very hard to find the truth these days. I have been fooled many times by something I thought was true but was crap. That is why I will say it again and again, when possible, go to the source.

Part of the problem and a huge part is the left demands free things without wanting to work for it. Our factories pay well most have the ability to move up and provide the training needed to do so. They are filled with Republicans and immigrants. Very few demonrats will work hard enough to stay employed. A few of my military buddy's work for factories and are thriving. One left a job driving heavy equipment to work in a factory making plastic products, he said the hours are long, the job easy and they people make it fun. I pushed him on that comment, so he explained they often share meals at lunch, people bring enough to share so he gets food from all over the world.

It's amazing, where have you been that you actually think that it's countries selling to the US that pay the tariffs? It's Americans buying products from those countries that pay tariffs on those products from those countries. China does not pay tariffs to the US, people in the US buying goods from China pay the tariffs.

The reason why you don't remember the names of any companies moving their manufacturing here is because it's really not happening. Factories don't get built in a couple of weeks, and with Trump flip flopping all over the place, they'll just wait till he's gone to do what they may have done. Companies that are in the process of setting up shop here already were in the process of doing so before Trump started asking them to do so.
