It sure hasn't failed in China, the second biggest economy in the world and poised to take the number one spot, accelerated by Dear Leader Trump.

Mao-era collectivist policies failed in China. Under Mao, tens of millions of Chinese starved to death during the Great Leap Forward. Starting in 1978, Deng Xiaoping and the Communist Party began reintroducing market mechanisms and private ownership. Socialism failed in China. Markets worked.

The State/Party (CCP) owns everything and has direct rigid control over all aspects of the economy and everything else down to every single citizen's life - even those who emigrate to other places like the US. They literally have their own (albeit secret) police stations in New York City monitoring them.

Did you ever not consider the fact, that maybe, just maybe, you were right?
Yes, so-called Communists do control everything in their countries, including China which you yourself cited in the meme you posted without having any idea what's in it.

How is it that you can post a meme without looking at it first?

Now back to your job as a contrarian arguing against your own point.

China is a police state operating within a capitalist system. The CCP controls many aspects of the economy, but it is still a market-driven economy with private ownership. Xi Jinping is currently disrupting that balance with increased state control. Modda, do I have to explain every nuance? Please do your own research so you can add intelligently to the conversation.

There is no such thing as private ownership in China.

Kindly familiarize yourself with the subject, instead of simply reiterating what I had posted but yet trying to argue against it.

My gosh.

And then the guy actually said he asked AI.

AI tells people what they want to hear.

The Communist Party has a controlling stake in every single business that there is in China, and even ones that so-called Chinese expatriates have in the US. Even where officially the percentage that the Party owns of a company seems smaller, that's just on paper, as their control is total.

Again, for some strange reason you keep trying to contradict your own point. You're so used to spreading propaganda fabrications that you can't even accept the fact that you actually might be correct on occasion.

Yes but they don't interfere with the running of those systems unless there's a political reason. Meaning its still a market based system mostly regulated on supply and demand. Every time they try to clamp down they mess it up and back off.
Also the only reason China has an economy at all is they undercut the prices of every other country with slave wage goods.

Not sure what part of totally controlled economy do you not understand.

Do a little research and apply some logic and reasoning.

Let's ask Meta AI: False — there is private ownership in China, but it works differently than in many other countries and has key limits, especially on land. The 2004 amendment to the PRC

Constitution explicitly states:
"Citizens’ lawful private property is inviolable. The state, in accordance with law, protects the rights of citizens to private property and to its inheritance."

Please research before you post anything. Don't just make shit up that you think might be true.

How many times have I got to say this? China ditched a pure socialist economy because it did not work. It killed millions! Pure socialism never works. There must be markets and private ownership. Profit or die.

You can repeat yourself all you want, it still won't change anything.

You can also try a little research, but you're not going to do that because that's not your job to do.

Guy claims to be Irish but forgot what the English did to his people just so they can keep a steady supply of beef and mutton while they starved.

Same thing with Iran, but there was no potato famine. Half the country dead, just so the Brits can stay fat on pistachios during WWI.

I never claimed to be Irish. I play Irish music in a band. You don't seem to be familiar with Iranian history. I know making up facts is fun, but it's not very useful. Please stop posting inaccuracies.
0 ups, 9h
So you're unfamiliar with Iranian history? Then go look it up. Iranian Famine 2017 - 2019. 8 - 10 million people starved while the Brits carted the food away from their farmers.

That's right, a bigger holocaust than the much celebrated one we don't stop hearing about that occurred during World War II, and I'm the only one on the planet that heard about it. Go figure.

The 1917-1919 Persian famine was real and horrific. The 8-10 million number is from one historian and disputed; most scholars say ∼2 million. It happened during WWI, not 2017-2019. British occupation and grain requisitioning were major factors, but whether that constitutes intentional genocide vs. wartime negligence is still debated by historians.

Lol. So move there if you think it's great. Get paid $30 a month to work 12 hours a day 6 days a week in a sweatshop. Enjoy your "Free " Healthcare until you're 59 and get cut off.

naah, I don't feel like moving to your country.

Half of these countries "failed" due to sanctions and coups that were backed by the CIA, and one look at China will tell you that they are out-competing us in every way imaginable. Your entire thesis is built on lies and faulty logic.
0 ups, 6h
wow. Have you presented your "findings" to China? What about Vietnam?

Are you sure that you used the scientific method? Because it doesn't seem like you did.

Nice pictures with lovely colors, but Cuba is hardly a prosperous nation. Heck, it's so poor, that Global Warming hasn't touched it. Literally. It's waters are teaming with life, 90% more sharks, tons more other species, the corals have not been impacted, and there it is smack dab in the middle of a sea where everything is dying.

The answer is a very simple one: sanctions. Sanctions placed on it by the US, as has placed on other so-called communist countries have severely impacted their economies, as designed. Just like Iran and whatever other so-called rogue nations. Cut them off from Uncle Sam's allowance, cut they're goods from being purchased by us, and their economies go moribund. I didn't even know till a few years ago that other countries don't have sanctions on Cuba. But other countries don't spend and buy like the United States of America does.

Look at China, no such problem. Second biggest GDP on Earth. That's what happens when instead of placing sanctions on a Communist nation, you give them Most Favored Nation Trading Status instead.

Allowance. Uncle Sam allowance. Ask your great grandparents what life on Planet Earth was like prior to World War II. If it wasn't for President Truman, the people of what are now the rich nations of Europe would still be living in mud brick huts with thatched roofs, asking their uncle if they can borrow the donkey so that they can go to town to trade some goods. If you wanted to see electricity and gas powered automobiles, the solution was simple, go to London, Paris, Berlin, Vienna... The rest was barely out of the Medieval Age.

The only reason why China is rich is because we buy their products. Its economy has already been slowing for years, and despite the fears of it overtaking the US and all that that goes with it, we heard the same about Japan surpassing us economically as well for decades, and they they've been sputtering for how many years now? As wages in China rise and thus production costs, we'll just shift to buying cheap manufactured goods from India, then Bangladesh Vietnam...

Sure, Trump's shenanigans are causing other countries to shift to dealings with China instead, giving it a boost, but in a few decades, it will be yet another country that loomed on overtaking the ones that made it rich in the first place.

There's more to economies than pretty tinted pictures of Havana and cute trains in Japan. They may have fast trains, but that sure ain't stopping their economy from being stalled.
