Who said it does?
My first taste of racism was when I was 8 years old and we moved to this neighborhood, and we went to the local public school, of which I was one of only of three white kids in the class. We were picked on quite a bit. I never saw such a thing in my life, having lived in a couple of mixed neighborhoods prior. That was the first week. The second week one of them heard from me that my mother was from Puerto Rico, and started telling the class when they started picking on me not to, that I was all right because I was Puerto Rican. So the second week was okay for me but not for the other two white kids.
By that point, however, I had been begging our father to send me to the local Catholic school where almost everybody else in the neighborhood was going, that we were being terrorized in school. So he finally relented and transferred me to it.
Well most of that school was Italian, so I started getting picked on for being a Puerto Rican. A non-white, a brown.
Yes folks, I am transracial, able to change race with a single word, well actually two words: Puerto Rican.
So I don't know where you got that from, because you sure didn't get it from me. And you can search what I've said here, because I've said this stuff on these pages in the past.
