Electricity and gas went down to below half and $2 those prices you see in California are from California taxes. The prices have gone up temporarily due to stick market speculators, and is temporary.

No. The taxes in California are percentage based, which means if the price of gas goes up a little, its amplified by the tax. Gas is still below the price it was during Biden.

That's literally how every state assess a gas tax. Depending on the locality, it's $0.70 to $0.90 per gallon when combining state excise taxes, sales taxes, and federal taxes.

This is literally how every state and local government taxes gas. It's not a percentage that some how explodes the price.

Yes that's the point. To effectively see the price of gas, you should find a place with no taxes or very low tax on gas and measure from there. We are still under Biden gas prices and as soon as the Iran thing is over, it'll drop like a stone.
