The problem is that the Overton Window has shifted so incredibly far right, that most Americans think liberals are leftists, that conservatives aren't liberals, that conservatives are pro-democracy, and that healthcare is a radical leftist idea. Pre-Trump the two parties were relatively similar, they were part of the cycle of fattening up the poor (financially speaking) before hiking their taxes for the rich's gain. This cycle always falters, and as socialism grows, the capitalists respond like they always do-by introducing fascism.

No, it's extremely hard to sue any news station for lying due to free speech laws. It has to be VERY bad, like the time Fox News edited a video of Biden and added snoring sound effects, and pretended that video was a live interview with Fox where the anchor said "Hello? Mr. President? Can you hear me?"
