I remember my elementary education consisting of lessons teaching us of the downfalls of Socialism, Marxism and Communism.

Fast forward to the woke curriculum now condoning and perhaps even pushing them on children. And, of course, making sure that little kids get an education of deviant sexual behaviors which don't belong anywhere near a classroom.

We don't currently have a totally free market today, but its free-er than other markets. We are about 50% free and 50% cronyism. Where there aren't a lot of regulations or manipulation our economy is booming. Take Amazon for instance. Most of it is unregulated. They do over 516 billion dollars in business on average for the past 5 years.

Yes, I know very well that tariffs increase the cost of whatever good is being imported. Tariffs are taxes imposed on foreign countries for specific goods. That may have changed under Trump so that the tariff applies to all products imported for a foreign country.

So Chinese made goods should have gone up. But they didn't go up. China has been eating the costs.

And now we are seeing prices just beginning to come down. In most of the country gas prices are under $3.00 per gallon. Not in my state and not in New York or California.

Typically tariffs cause the exact same economic downturn as tax increases. Tariffs, just like taxes, only benefits the government. So you would think libs would love tariffs just as much as the love tax increases.

And what happens in an economic collapse? People have no way of paying for food. If people can't buy food, farmers and food manufacturers quit producing food. If there's no food, guess what happens?

If there's no food, there's no food. Not even the government will be able fix that problem.

I would like just once for someone explain to me how capitalists "exploit" anyone? Capitalism (what Marx called the free market) is when one party exchanges a good and/or service with another party. That's it. You guys add a whole bunch of other stuff that is NOT the free market. It is just buying and selling. It doesn't even require money, bartering is the free market. The more you can keep the government out of the way the freer the market becomes and the better

We haven't had a free market, we used to have a mostly free market but none of us have ever lived in a very free market. The government exerts too much control. The damage that causes is exactly what the left is calling the free market, it is not.

What you asking for as a "substantive debate" is you're arguing that the sky is green and I am just telling you that it is blue. There's really no point in debating.
