Civility goes a long way. Name-calling from whichever side doesn't lend itself to constructive debate. Let's all try harder to be better humans, shall we? I think we're mostly all adults here and despite our differences of opinion we don't really want to fight for no reason or push each other's buttons. We can disagree completely and still play nice. We might have very different political opinions but that doesn't mean we'd dislike each other as people if we met in real life. Some of my best friends and even relatives have *completely different* political views. I don't hate them.

Any fool can insult someone or get in a fight, right? That doesn't take much emotional intelligence. It takes smarts and restraint to be better than that.

That said, being called a "libtard" doesn't really bother me in the slightest. It's such a meaningless label that I use it about myself as a joke just to troll Trump supporters. It means nothing where I'm from so it's essentially a silly joke. So call me a libtard all you like. I call myself a libtard lol. But I guess it's technically offensive to some... Doesn't bother me though.
