:) Now you can spend it on groceries in one trip with no problem.

I remember when I considered a $100,000 house in the neighborhood to be a mansion...

They don't care. Dimbotards in particular, because wasting our money on useless s%it is in their DNA.

But there's more than enough blame to go around, including the republicans, too. Every single elected member of the House and Senate should be absolutely ashamed. They all need to be replaced, ASAP! As in term limits, NOW!

Stop the gaslighting modda. You, I, and anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows that Trump's hand was forced by DIMBOTARDS who ginned up covid to be way worse than it was, so they could shut down the economy and hurt Trump. That is all you guys care about. You don't care if it hurts the country or not, because your TDS is way more powerful than your patriotism, assuming you even have any.

Once you guys forced the economy to shut down, there was no choice In other words, the debt that accumulated during Trump 1.0 is nothing more than blood on the DEMONTARDS hands.

The good news is he's forcing you guys to suck it up in Trump 2.0 by shutting down your grift and fraud, and clawing back money for your propaganda outfits like NPR. Ad boy do you guys howl when you are forced to stop wasting we, the taxpayers' money. It's quite the site.

The difference between a billion and a trillion is x1000. I'm such a party pooper.
6 ups, 3w
Nah, you're not a party pooper...that is fact. But when it is put in perspective, it makes it a strong visual for people.

The bottom line is -- we should NEVER have gotten ourselves in such debt in this country. Thank goodness for DOGE and those who believe in fiscal conservatism.

if all of america's debt was forgiven right at this instant, then something would happen

Why would our debt holders forgive the debt?

If someone owed you $108,525, would you forgive it? Even if they asked... nicely?

I chose that number because per capita, as in every man, woman, and child in the US, that's what we all owe based on our current national debt. (and I need to post this fast, or that number will be out of date, because the debt is going up VERY quickly!)

That means over $108K for every baby from the instant they're born (and going up), and for every person who isn't in the labor force, etc. That means me, and it means you.

That's one helluva hole we have to dig ourselves out of.

A debt, which of course was forgiven. Because people don't actually want their money back.

We would be back in debt immediately. Just like if you give a homeless man $1M or a millionaire $0, they'll be back to their respective original situations within a few years. The deficit is already estimated to be $3.5 trillion for a single friggin year. We need a balanced budget constitutional amendment
1 up, 3w
That's an excellent point. Pay off all of a gambler's debt, or an alcoholics debt, and before you know it, they're right back where they were.

I like your suggestion; I support a balanced budget amendment 100%.

If we can't get that, what about the line item veto? Can we say that while far from ideal, it's better than nothing? Recissions are the same concept, but after the fact. Let's just take care of it up front. It's a lot less hassle.

Gaslighting. Pure gaslighting.

1. Dems gin up covid to make it seem worse than it is
2. Dems shut down the economy
3. Trump bails out the sheeple
4. Dems blame Trump for the cost of step #3, which they caused.

It's a tried (really more like tired) and true DIMBOTARD tactic. They even admit to it.

Oh, is COVID real this week? Honestly, it's impossible to tell where y'all are at on the COVID conspiracy wheel.

For them, just like for Trump, they way they work is that they roll a D20 and do what it says
