Companies today don't incitivise consumers with free trinkets, .. open a bank account get free house ware.... But the apps for frequent patrons is where the free stuff is at overtime.

Why should ANYONE be paying for something that only YOU want and will benefit from ?. This is a newer phenomenon. Never once heard someone crying about someone else helping them buy something for themselves growing up. Shit, at 12 years old, most of us were working and saving for whatever we wanted. Mommy, daddy, nor the government stepped up to do it for us. If you can't make it on your own, that's on you.

dude, i can fund my own stuff and dont need government help (other than the few odd medical bills) the difference between you and me as that i have empathy for those who have less, if you are born in to poverty (not their fault, you cant choose when or where your born) it is near impossible to escape it, nobody wants to hire you because your unclean and smell bad, because you dont have the money to afford cleaning products, and even if you are hired you often cant work effectively because your malnourished, and wouldn't you guess the cause of that. poverty is a cycle, a cycle that can only be stopped by A) Getting extremely lucky. or B) someone pitching in to help them.

Wasn't talking about you specifically. I've never known anything but poverty for most of my 56 years. I've been homeless in Calgary in the winter. Lived in a 1969 Fargo 1 ton milk truck for 2 years with no heat, and it gets cold. I've had some good times in there, but things happen. Finally getting back on my own feet processing firewood. Had a thriving business years ago but got blindsided and screwed. Taken 6 years to get back to where I can get back in it, saving every dime and relying on no one, because in the end you really can't. If you have a good attitude and a little aptitude you can do anything. Helping those who will be an investment is obviuosly good. Helping people who won't even try to better themselves or expect to be taken care of are the ones I have issue with.

glad we can agree on some things, i mainly want this sorta thing for people like you, helping you get on your feet earlier, and to weed out those will parasite off of a system like this, add in requirements like "must be looking for employment or employed (some jobs just cant fund a persons livelihood) to receive support" and stuff like that
