Don't take it to heart. Trolls gonna troll, and a downvote from someone who's still pushing "They're eating the cats" and Pizzagate should probably be regarded as a badge of honor. (What would it say about your memes if they LIKED them?)

Do what a lot of us do - disable comments on the memes you post on politics. It drives the MAGAts crazy because they can't spew their hatred.

First, welcome! And second, if they're downvoting you into oblivion, you're doing it right.

What they want? "own the libs" ! Once you understand their motivation? It becomes easier.

the ones who do that are insecure, and they hate to look bad in front of their buddies. replying with images that show you don't care will usually beat them back. try these...

There are other streams as well as this one that you can post on, such as politics3 and Politics_Redux. Those two aren't as active as this one, and certainly not as much as the main politics stream. But you won't have to deal with the shills who just want to shut everybody else down.

Just disable comments; the solution is not to stop posting in the politics stream, rather, it's to keep posting in the politics stream while denying butthurt crybabies opportunity to go into knee-jerk defense mode.

I disable political comments too but if they can't comment on my political memes they put their political comment on my other memes anyway. You can report it and sometimes mods will remove them. You can block the haters so you can't read their comments but everyone else can still read it.

Disabling comments is a sane response to the hate and lies being spread right now.
