As I recall, and I can be wrong, you're not particularly religious. I get that. I'm an atheist. But I was raised in a Baptist church, so I know what's in that book.

Christ specifically commanded his followers to protect the weak, feed the hungry, and to heal the sick without expectation or thought of being paid or rewarded.

And as someone who dedicated her life to the teachings of that book, it's easy to see how she would view it as a moral and spiritual requirement to plead for treating the weak and vulnerable with mercy and compassion.

If you think pleading for mercy in how he treats the weak and vulnerable is spewing hateful liberal bullshit, I got nothing for you other than to say you really need to reconsider how you view humanity and how other human beings need to be treated.
