Well, it should be taught in a way where it won’t cause confusion to a cis child
Just taught at a certain age, like maybe 13-15
Not causing confusion to the children though. If a child is trans though, no biggy. Children typically can’t get surgery legally (unless there is an 85% chance they won’t regret it, IE; having to take HRT for one year, at minimum being 16 to get surgery, and you’d have had to been taking HRT for over a year, thus making it more clear this is enough)
Although, maybe it shouldn’t be legal for minors anyways, Despite certainty.
Basically, teach it from an educational standpoint that won’t cause confusion in most.
