Winco grocery store is employee owned.

Exactly...but do they own the means of production, whatever the hell that means 😆

According to our resident Warxist (not a typo) they would only work at the level and duration they are able, yet get an equal share.

Do the WinCo employees schedule themselves?
No

Do the Winco employees have supervisors and managers and corporate officers that tell them what to do and when to do it?
Yes.

Do the WinCo employees each get an equal share of every dollar the company earns?
No.

Do the WinCo employees pay an equal share of the company's liabilities?
No

The response will be "that isn't true communism!"

😄

Technically a grocery store is service unless there's a deli in which case it becomes a hybrid of service(selling manufactured products from other companies) and manufacturing(creating whatever is ordered in the deli).

And what the furball in question still doesn't get is that pure service industry has no real say in what gets created in the manufacturing industry. Sure service can refuse to sell or provide what manufacturing creates but that business won't survive long in any economy model whether it be communist or capitalist.

Buy stock. Theon you’ll be an owner too.

Great advice.

They will be an owner that gets told what days and times to be at work, what time to go home, what to do, have quotas or similar metric applied.

Anything you own must be bought or made yourself. So, you need to work in order to own your work and the means of production.

Without corporate competition, one corporation would end up with everything.
Except for what you earn, of course. But you’d have to work to earn it. Nobody’s going to give you handouts forever.

That’s not competition, it’s a monopoly. Know what else is a monopoly - state run companies which you find in socialist and communist communities.

Corporate competition is a good thing. It brings about better quality, better quantity and lower prices for everyone. Every innovation to technology has come about because somebody decided to make it better.

Then work for it. Just like most people do to be able to afford what they want.

This may come as a shock. Nobody is entitled to anything. That includes equal outcomes.

So steal the workers' wealth even they don't do what you want with it.
