No one ever said ALL POC were DEI hires. There are incompetent people of all skin tones, but when you see someone so obviously incompetent like H.U. Harris, it’s a good thing to pint it out to others.

She sounds impressive. Is that all you lefty's can do is use her as race bait? Thanks for proving my point.

Only a couple weeks ago, Democrat leaders were discussing how to dump Kamala from the ticket.

LOL

$96 million kept her on the ticket.

I rather imagine that astronauts, like high-powered DAs and senators, mostly hire cleaning services.

Well, I'm fine with that as long as you're also praising men who clean their homes. And isn't cleaning also work?

As per usual, if you can't argue the actual point, just strawman it into a possibility

The achievements and worth of people of color, of women, of immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, and other minorities are apparently something that needs to be argued in this stream. I'm happy to keep offering evidence: there's so much!

Either you intentionally miss the entire argument and you're arguing a position nobody is making or....no thats it. Thats the only option available.

Why is it I see "DEI hire" thrown at a successful politician who won multiple competitive elections by people supporting a person who won multiple . . . bankruptcies and fraud counts?

Because sometimes…the proof is in the pudding

What national level election did she win…ever?

The same number that FDR or Dwight Eisenhower won before their first election as President. How many businesses has she personally run into the ground? How many felony convictions has she earned? Oh, no, wait -- she PROSECUTED felonies instead of committing them, unlike the other candidate.

I'm just trying to help you make a convincing, grown-up looking argument. I just deleted my meme when commentators showed me that I'd made a mistake, and thanked them. Is your ego so much more fragile?

Before Vice President Harris was elected as a US Senator in a statewide vote, she won the election for State Attorney General on her record as a County District Attorney. Her decades of hard work and accomplishment are something that you appear to be glossing over in favor of focusing on the fact that she had romantic relationships before marriage (OMG! . . . anyway . . . )

Perhaps you aren't as familiar with California politics as you claim? It's a large, diverse state (and what a blessing the diversity of thought, experience and backgrounds is in California!).

He's far from the only non-D in California politics. And he wouldn't have gotten the chance if Governor Gray Davis hadn't been recalled for really no more reason than the D after HIS name.

Again…almost…not all

Gray was recalled by 55% of the vote…that alone tells me it wasn’t just because he was a lib

I did not live here at the time, but every thing I have read and every one I have talked to all agree he was just an incompetent leader… much like biden is today

Nah, it was a sour-grapes type hit job. Sad, but it worked out okay, since Mr. Schwartznegger proved to be a much more competent governor than his previous lack of political experience suggested. (Unlike the man who tried to gut the EPA and the Post Office, nuke a hurricane, and make kissy faces at the worst tyrants around the world).

There's a line missing from the OG meme - "Doesn't lie about her heritage/ancestry." Protip for getting professional photos - Don't let the photographer force you to 'smile more'. Just smile naturally.

True story - One time I was in a department store. As I was leaving I heard a raised voice yelling on a cell phone. I turned to see a Black woman who about 50-100 lbs overweight. She wore a t-shirt that was about to fall apart at any minute. She looked like the last time she smiled was never. Worse part she was clearly 7 months pregnant and her stomach was hanging out for the whole world to see. I literally felt bad for the soon to be born baby. Everything about this woman was 'miserable'.

A few minutes later when entering an restaurant to grab a bite to eat, I opened and held the entrance door open for another Black woman. You want to talk about total opposites! She was professionally dressed.(An actual business dress, not 'pant suits'). Her smile was great and she thanked me.(She was surprised when I held the door open for her. I think it was more because of that stupid 'men shouldn't open and hold the door for women' garbage from that period of time than anything about race.) She had a natural smile on her. She was easily a 6-9 on the hotness scale. My thoughts were - "Whatever lucky SOB is dating/married to her better not f*ck it up!"

DEI != Black
1 up, 3mo,
1 reply
Of course not: DEI means a commitment to seeking a broad range of talented candidates and expertise for your organization. Farmers and fund managers know that diversity is the secret of growth and resilience: corporate managers and college entrance boards are just catching up.

If DEI was such an advantage there wouldn’t be a need for mandates, quotas, etc. Businesses would do it naturally.

The companies that have figured it out are profiting accordingly.

"or example, a study by Credit Suisse found that companies with female CEOs are more likely to have higher employee satisfaction and retention rates. Additionally, a study by McKinsey & Company found that companies with female CEOs are more likely to be innovative and successful in new markets.

Of course, there are also some challenges that female CEOs face. For example, they are often paid less than male CEOs, . . . . Companies that have a minimum of 30% women representation in leadership positions are 12 times more likely to be in the top tier on financial performance."

from this accounting firm: https://gallerosrobinson.com/insight-inside/female-ceos-are-they-better-than-male-ceos/

So, you’re saying the reason these companies are more likely to have higher employee satisfaction and retention rates, be innovative and successful is because of the gender of their CEO? That’s kinda sexist, don’t you think.
Too bad those female CEOs didn’t achieve their success because of their leadership skills.

Maybe, just maybe, gender has nothing to do with it.
