You didn't say "oh, well, they have a strong social safety net with access to quality universal healthcare. That's why they're happy."

You didn't didn't say, "oh, well, they have universal free education, that's why they're happy."

You didn't say "oh, well, they have amazing scenery, take steps to preserve it, and spend a lot of time out in it. That's why they're happy."

You didn't say "oh, well, they have a population of just over 5 million people, so that's a very low population density so they don't have to deal with overcrowding or housing issues."

You didn't say "oh, well, Norway has a strong work/life balance ethic that focuses on family time. That's why they're happy."

No. You didn't say any of that. You went straight to "They're happy because they're all white people."

Diversity of culture, means a vast diversity of values and opinions. People are naturally happier/ more comfortable when the values and opinions of those around them align with thier own.
Values in the U.S. vary so greatly that even a statement like "Stable two parent households are better for society" is somehow considered controversial.
And is is stressful living in a society where you might be attacked (physically, not just verbally) not just for having the wrong opinion, but having the wrong skin color.

Race and culture go hand in hand most of the time. You see it vastly more in the Asian population, but they do have a far greater appreciation of their own culture than many of the other races.

If people in general were not happier around their own kind, then they would not congregate and make pockets of their own ethnicities. I gave you examples of all races of people in my City of chicago that are happier among their own kind, Some to the point, that if you come into their neighborhood and you are not part of their culture, you'll get your head peeled. Its not racist, its human.

Sure, I agree that people feel comfortable being around other people who look and act like they do. Especially in situations where they have immigrated to environments where there are many people who don't look and act like they do.

What makes it racist is that he connects that Norweigians are white people to their happiness.

He doesn't connect it to their healthcare system, which is free and universal. Nor to their education system, all the way up through college, which is free and universal. Nor does he connect it to the low population density. He doesn't connect it to the steps Norway has taken to reduce income inequality. Does he mention, that in 2020 there were only 3,000 homeless people in the whole country? Nope. Does he connect it to the amazing scenery and the lengths that Norway goes to ensure that scenery stays amazing and that people spend a lot of time out in it? Nope.

He doesn't connect it to the fact that Norway makes sure that everyone is fed, housed, healthy, educated, and gets plenty of family time at all. He went straight to "Norway is happy because it's all white people."

The point is not racist ffs, dude. People naturally congregate with their own kind. You can see it all over big cities, Right here in chicago with have "little Italy" , We got "China Town", Up from 95th and Cicero to about 120th is all Irish, Then go into the city itself Near me and you have solid blocks of Mexicans, then 10 blocks over you got the blocks that are all black, these people move in with their own kind. Its not racist and you need to stop using that word because your kind has watered it down so much it has lost its meaning.
