They aren't impeaching Biden...at present.

They are conducting an impeachment inquiry, aka investigation.

The result of the inquiry will determine if they have cause and the consensus to vote affirmatively to impeach.

Items being investigated are many and known. It's the lying media that will say otherwise. The answer is influence peddling to foreign govts for MONEY is what's being investigated.

1. What was HB being paid for, e.g. sitting on the board of an energy company when he has zero skills in the energy sector?

2. Why was HB cc'd on emails sent to JB's alias email acct regarding US foreign policy for Ukraine, while JB was VP?

3. Why did Burisma drop HB, but only after JB had the prosecutor in charge of weeding out corruption related to Burisma fired (we've all seen the video) and after JB was no longer the VP?

4. Why are there 20 shell companies (or more) related to Biden family business (whatever it may be... nobody seems to know) that have distributed cash to the "Big Guy" and others, often in the same amounts that that had been received just days earlier?

5. More than 150 of HB's and the Biden family's international business transactions have generated suspicious activity reports by U.S. banks for further review by the Treasury Dept to determine if there is illegal activity or a threat to national security.

Those are just the easy ones I can rattle off without looking at any notes. People with more knowledge of the subject could probably easily exceed 20 on their lists. And before anyone goes down the red herring path of asking why do these involve Hunter, the answer from me is I don't care what HB does in his personal life (as long as kids are left out of it.) But since he flew on Air Force 2 to China and then signed contracts with CCP controlled companies shortly thereafter for huge amounts of $$$, and his daddy got the Ukrainian prosecutor off Burisma's back (which on the surface would seem to have been the only reason for HB being on their board), I think that's enough to at least ask legitimate questions.

Demented Joe, in response to a question about the cash distributions replied, "where's the money?" Even Demented Joe has enough wherewithal left to realize that flippant reply could cause him problems, so he quickly put a joking context around it. But that doesn't diminish the legitimacy of the impeachment inquiry.

The bottom line is that if Dems had had this much evidence against Trump, they might have gotten a conviction during his impeachment trial(s). There are simply too many questions that need to be sorted out to pretend like there's nothing there.

Lots of smoke, so it's perfectly legit to see if there's fire.

Pretending for a moment there's evidence to support any of that, none of those actions happened while Biden was president, and that's a hard limit on the scope for impeachment.

This isn't about impeaching Biden though - it's about the general election when Trump is going to have to answer questions about abuses of power and profiteering off his office, defend having his kids trafficking on his name, explain why he used his companies, many shells, to commit fraud, and just what it ws his son-in-law did to receive $2.5B from the Saudi Royal Family.

Every single accusation from the GOP is an admission.

As has been pointed out, he's not being impeached.

I think republicans can easily tell you why they are conducting the impeachment inquiry. There's a mountain of evidence that needs to be sorted out.

The bottom line is that as of right now, there is a order of magnitude (or several) more evidence related to Biden than there ever was about Trump, and that includes all the made up Russian collusion information that we all now know was manufactured.

It's the 'news media' who will lie to you and say the republicans can't tell you why they're doing what they're doing.

Those do seems to be the conclusion these political theatrics are intended to lead you to, but what happens in their hearings in between the grandstanding monologues of GOP partisans doesn't support the narrative.

It's funny because it's only the 'right-wing news media' who are telling you Republicans do know what they're doing, and those guys don't care if what they say is remotely true.
