This meme only points out that history is repeating a pattern. I agree history can't be taught thru memes, but is history being taught at all?

"Leftists" come on cite Trump doing the same thing 3-5 years earlier.

Trump Cultists: "That's different."

I haven't heard a case for anyone who supports him beyond conspiracy theory, today, who can justify supporting him after all the cases he lost in 2020, and all the cases he's losing now.

If this was Joe Biden, you'd be lapping up and raising the courts on an altar for being "impartial, rule of law, etc." Even though there's no evidence.

"If this was Joe Biden..."

You have zero clue what I would say if it were Joe Biden. That's never stopped the left from stating opinion as fact. When it comes to the left, they're often wrong, but never in doubt.

In fact, I posted just the other day (well, maybe a couple of weeks ago... no sense of time over here...) that I truly hope all these pay for play and influence peddling charges against Biden are false, because I do not want that kind of stain on the presidency.

So what I want, is what's best for the country.

I have never seen the TDS crazed, orange man bad types here on imgflip ever, ever express any sentiment like that. They would be more than happy to see the country crash and burn, if they thought that's what it would take to bring Trump down. And that my friend, is truly anti-American.

So as you can see, there's a big difference between me and them, and probably you. I just don't know you well enough (in an imgflip sense) to speculate about what you'd say beyond guessing by saying "probably".

For me, the evidence was clear in both instances.

Each time, I wanted it to be wrong because if what we saw him doing in reporting was any indication of what was actually going on... Bad days. The evidence provided today cements that fear, and I anxiously await further processing of this trial. Too many times trump got off on technicalities and let's be honest, a partisan divide in the Senate with more Republicans on the side of Democrats with one holding saying

"I hope trump learned his lesson."

So far, I'm not seeing he did. Trump played with for with Jack and now he's gonna get burned. We can't sustain a government which forgives so many transgressions as his.

My two cents.

"The evidence provided today..."

You've not seen evidence. You're seen news reports, media reports. You've seen what the DNC and their propaganda arm, aka the media, want you to see, in order to control what you think. Period. Full stop.

Democrats today believe in censorship and 'Big Brother' type control of what we are allowed to know. It's insidious, and the sooner you wake up to it, the better off you (and to some small degree, the country) will be.

I'm no lover of the GOP, so as far as I'm concerned, please collect as many tears as you want. In fact, I used to despise Democrats less than Republicans, but the left has gone off the deep end, and Trump did nothing more to expose them doing so. That's one of the trwo main reasons they hate him.
0 ups, 11mo
Yeah, gonna have to disagree with ya there on that one chief. On all counts. I wonder how many state officialls from the right have motioned or assed resolutions to censor people they disagree with in the past 5 years as opposed to the left. I remember there was a whole slew of censorships after trump lost 2010 (in irony)

Technicalities?

Then we should report the politics stream. You can't be a leftists here without being attacked by snide remarks ad hominem, etc. I was here for maybe two days in the past two weeks giving fair and impartial comments, before people got tired of it and attacked me. So... *shrug.*

I think anybody can deal with it. But if you expect people to take your objective comments as truly objective comments, your imgflip username will likely make them think twice.

You did watch Dementia Joe's speech at Independence Historical Park in Philadelphia?

Or, clearly not if you don't believe that Biden engages in incredibly inflammatory rhetoric.

Odd how a liberal (which I'm assuming you to be) wouldn't know about something the media should have reported... just darn peculiar...

"Too much of what's happening in our country today is not normal," Biden said. "Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic."

"Didn't need to watch President Joe Biden's speech on the news. All the important parts were front page here, right? "

Good one yolo! You're on fire lately!

"breaking into a senator's house and attacking anyone inside with a hammer because of political affiliation"

The dude had a history of mental health issues and drug abuse, but you go right on believing that Trump supporters behave that way. And why not? That's what your beloved media wants you to believe. Without the sheeple and Trump, they make zero dollas!

Forget the rest of it, the bottom line is I more than adequately disproved what you said, yet you just can't admit it.

Try admitting when you're wrong sometime yolo. You may find it to be quite liberating.

Ermahgerd he iz like hitlurrr!1... It was all over the front page. The OP meme above is basically the same thing rehashed from what we already saw 10 months ago.

And ya, not exactly surprising that extremists who commit acts of domestic terrorism have mental problems and/or drug problems. And to be clear I'm not saying ALL trump supporters are like that. But some are. Being cuckoo, having a poor grasp of reality, and doing drugs does not prevent someone from being a trump supporter. You can tell based on the clips from his rallies.

Lol... you have disproven literally nothing. Looking back it actually seems like your argument was either a strawman or you simply didn't understand what I was talking about. I didn't say that Biden didn't say that. I was talking about republicans basically using that same type of inflammatory language regarding democrats. I wasn't sure if THEY had ever said "greatest threat" before.... not if Biden did. Good effort though. I mean you had a source and everything! Lol
:P

And "my beloved media" ......? Lol ok whatever you say! I remember Hardraker once accused me of regurgitating Rachel Maddow talking points on here... Meanwhile I literally did not even know who she was.

I have admitted to being wrong before. For example I once said the unemployment rate was something which it turned out was not and I admitted being wrong about that. Since then the unemployment rate has reached levels even lower than my mistake though so eh.

Okay, since the left can't ever stay on point, let's do a reset. You said: "Has anyone actually said "greatest threat"? idk."

So, I showed you where/when Dementia Joe said pretty much that, practically in your own words.

And that, yolo, is all I was trying to prove. You can deflect, shift, dance around, do whatever you want, and I'll play along for a while because it's amusing. But ultimately we should get back to your original statement and my reply.

You made a statement of opinion as fact, and it took almost no effort whatsoever to prove you wrong.

You're welcome.
1 up, 11mo
"Democrats are portrayed as everything from fascists to communists to traitors, demons, "demon rats" and so on... Has anyone (ON THE RIGHT) actually said "greatest threat"? idk. But it would easily fit the narrative I have heard..... (FROM REPUBLICANS)

I thought that it was already clear based on the full context but hopefully the additional capitalized words help you understand...... I don't know how else to explain it to you.
0 ups, 11mo
Yes, Biden said that. Anyone who's been on this site 5 minutes knows that. And? Not his fault that it's true.
You're a spectator. We're in this. This is what we here are dealing with.

The "Great Switch" is clearly pseudo-history. Also, most Confederate monuments were erected around 1910, well before Civil Right Movement. A simple timeline disproves both myths. I keep hearing both of these stories. Who is pushing this crap? Real history is ugly enough. Why do people have to make crap up?
0 ups, 11mo
Correct, there was never a switch.
Racist Southeners seeking to preserve segregation merely left the Democrat Party in favor of the Republicans.

Fat, drunk, and stupid are perfectly acceptable. Teaching history is not.
2 ups, 12mo
Before that was the joke, that everyone knew being "fat, drunk and stupid" was terrible. Fast forward 40 years, nowadays being fat is celebrated, drunks are given their own reality show, and stupid is the prevailing thought.

1 up, 12mo,

Your boy Trump was doing that already.

Going after political enemies would be to persecute someone without any evidence, like hearsay, with the whole Burisma thing. He said she said without receipts.

Republicans have been hammering away at versions of the Hunter Biden storyline ever since 2019, sure that the scent of scandal attached to Biden's son will drag down Joe, even though Hunter has no position in the White House, unlike Ivanka, Kushner, and Jr. who received millions from China, but you don't talk about that.

Trump survived his first impeachment after trying to pressure Ukraine’s president to investigate Biden.

Republicans in the Senate, when they held the majority there, issued a report on Hunter Biden – although it alleged no specific corruption – just before the 2020 election.

House Republicans, now that they have the majority, have taken up the baton.

There are records of Trump failing to meet deadlines for his documents *at the least.* That right there, is evidence enough to start an investigation.

Hearsay? It was from the horses mouth. Biden referred to it on a national TV interview.

Now the FBI have proof positive from the man who bribed Biden, but they are attempting to cover it up.

Hammering away, yes, because there is no justice for the garbage dump set.

Really? You're going with that not where he told the guy to pay up? It wasn't a bribe; it was a threat is termination of services rendered because Ukraine wasn't holding up their end of a deal that was made. Corruption crackdown wasn't happening and three man Biden wanted fired was infact corrupt. Biden as VP was acting at the behest of the IMF, both chambers of Congress and the president.
