I’m not a progressive. I just am not so fervently anti-progressive to immediately generalize it as fascist.

Fascism is basically just extreme authoritarian, and too often do people tend to confuse authoritarianism with conservatism. Even unwittingly amongst conservatives.

Republicans who so furiously rail against centralized government; far too often believe their way is the only way forward which is self-defeating and often traps them into an authoritarian mindset.

Same with liberals, who again, believe there way is the only way acceptable. That too is slipping into authoritarianism.

And when either side does that, the opposition egregiously label them fascist.
