So what gender is XXY?

Genetic damage.

Ok, so now there's three genders: male, female, and genetic damage? At least I got you to admit THAT much.

The very fact that you can cite something as being out of the norm is proof that there is a baseline normality. We recognize something as being wrong because we know what right looks like.

And how ignorant, appealing to genetic mutations that prevent their own replication, and which also amount to less than 0.001% of the total population.

This same issue, genetic mutation causing defects, is also proof that mankind is not descended from monkeys. And yes, liberals do make it hard to believe this, but it is a simple fact: mutations do not cause a rise in new, useful, more complex information, but rather single the organism out for extinction.

But what gender is XXY? If it's so important to you to define gender genetically, then why does the very presence of 600,000 people in the US alone make you waffle instead of answering with a gender you claim to be so confident in being able to define?

Male.

Klinefelter syndrome is a genetic condition that results when a boy is born with an extra copy of the X chromosome. Klinefelter syndrome is a genetic condition affecting males, and it often isn't diagnosed until adulthood.

Tell the OP that. The OP clearly says that male genders must have 37 trillion cells of XY chromosomes. That's who you want to correct, not me.

OP is more right than wrong. XXY = X + XY

And the second part of the meme is also accurate regardless of what chromosomal conditions a person has they can't actually change from male to female or vice versa. They can choose to live as the other but they haven't actually become it. This comes down to the problem with changing language and terms. We all agree you can't change biological sex. Biological sex is male and female. The term Boy means Human Male so it refers directly to biology.

One side wants the language to change and have boy and girl to mean gender identity and have it detached from Biological sex. The other says no those terms are already established stop messing with the language.

That's pretty much it. And with that came all the other issues of boys in girls sports or bathrooms since they used to be referring to Biological sexes not new gender identities.

No. The OP said males have 37 trillion permanently encoded XY chromosomes. If you know of men who don't, you should be correcting him, not me.

Not sure what you aren't understanding it's not an XY chromosome it's an X chromosome and a Y chromosome (X + Y). So in your example XXY it is X + (X + Y) so the XXY does have the XY the OP mentioned. But you may have missed my larger point of people confusing gender and sex because of forcing the language change. Male is a sex not a gender.

No. The OP didn't say men have at least the XY chromosomes - you added that part as an excuse to bother me and not the OP. You should be correcting the OP. The OP says that men have XY cells, period.

I never said the OP said that part. I know I said it. I was explaining OP is right even if by accident. If you recall my first post I distinctly said it's more right than wrong. XXY contains XY. That's not some trick to get you all bothered. I've been very matter of fact in my posts and not picking a fight. But seems like you are looking for one and I'm not interested in that so have a good rest of your day.

But he's NOT right, is he? Because he said men have XY chromosomes, black and white. And I see you making NO effort to be "matter of fact" about it to the OP.

Let me try this one last time, imagine;

X = Apple Y = Orange

OP said all men have an apple and an orange.

You are saying no he's wrong they have 2 apples and an orange.

But he is correct that they do in fact have an apple and an orange. The fact they also have an extra apple doesn't make him wrong.

No, he said they specifically had the well known apple-orange combination. So be "matter of fact" with him.

The meme says all men have XY chromosomes in all their cells. So you've really already admitted that the OP is wrong.

Yes, but even XXY males have XY.. no where does the meme say only XY

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. Appeal to authority fallacy.

of course not. different field of science for a start :)

"Appeal to authority fallacy"

bah. there's always new fallacies coming out every year now. the only reason fallacies exist is for reddit atheists to "win" at debates using bullshit underhanded tactics.

i didn't even site any authority in the first place; i just highlighted that the OP's profession and thesis is questionable at best.

Been saying for years we need a new logical fallacy term to describe those who attempt to structure an argument soley around pointing out fallacies.

Appeal to authority is really old.
0 ups, 3y
You should look it up then, as you haven't a clue to what it means.
1 up, 3y
Nope. You said he wasn't a biologist or psychologist and therefore he couldn't be correct (paraphrasing). That's an appeal to authority. AS in because he's an authority he's always correct.

Joe Biden's dad was a used car dealer.
