Just in case you decide to come back to Politics and read this:
The heavy questioning of Project Veritas is only from the left. They can't question the veracity because Project Veritas captures things on videos to get the actual words that someone is saying. And they do record and publish as much as they were able to capture so that you can hear everything in its context.
So when I watched the video of the reporter from the New York Times and he said there a lot of FBI operatives at the Jan 6th protest what I am I supposed to believe. Was the guy lying? No, because there are videos of Ray Epps working with others to trying to get people all revved up to storm the Capital building. The night before there is video of Epps trying to get people to storm the Capital building and everyone there saw threw him. They started chanting, "Fed, Fed, Fed". One of the directors of the FBI was questioned by the Senate about FBI operatives at the protest and she said that she would neither "deny or confirm" which is a cop out but it also is NOT a denial. It certainly left it open to the possibility that FBI operatives were fomenting the riot.
It is more than clear to me, as someone who was not there and who understands what the protest were about, that the FBI working in league (once again) with the Democrat Party to create a situation that could be used against Trump. The whole thing was a set up.
Jan 6th was NOT an insurrection by any stretch of the imagination. An insurrection is when a group of people try to over throw a government. Insurrectionists seek to destroy the existing government and replace it with their own government. In all cases everyone involved in an insurrection has to be armed. In ancient history it was with swords, spears and trebuchets. In modern times it is with guns.
Jan 6th was a protest of a fraudulent election, nothing more and nothing less. No one was armed. The found guns in 2 peoples cars but they were handguns and they were not in possession of the people involved. They were NOT trying to take over and replace the government. They were protesting fraud and corruption. That is NOT an insurrection. I am not defending those who rioted and especially those who caused damage but I at least understand why the protesters were there.
